HAMECOMOULD - LIQUID
Liquid mould-inhibitor/water activity controller
HAMECOMOULD-LIQUID is a liquid product with a wide action: it not only kills moulds effectively,
it also binds free water.
The advantages of HAMECOMOULD-LIQUID can be summarized as follows:
HAMECOMOULD-LIQUID prevents moulding, even during prolonged storage
T he reduction in the amount of free moisture offers extra protection against mould growth.
There is a less chance of moisture accumulation in the silo, as the Aw value is stabilized.
The moisture balance can be controlled; there is significantly less difference between the calculated and
actual moisture percentage.
Considerable energy savings during pressing occur.
Owing to the complete penetration of the free water the flow properties of the feed are improved;
less chance of bridging in the silo.
HAMECOMOULD-LIQUID is user-friendly

HAMECOSAL-DRY
Salmonella killer for animal feed
Salmonella contamination of feed and feed raw materials can be major potential problem for livestock
producers. Grains and oil seeds have lower (1 - 3%) incidence of Salmonella contamination than do ingredients
obtained from animal by products (5 - 85%). Non-pullorum Salmonella serotypes, such as typhimurium,
enteritidis and heidelberg, are the causative bacterial agents in most cases of reported for poisoning.
By treating raw materials and compound feeds with HAMECOSAL-DRY the infection cycle can be broken.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
HAMECOSAL-DRY is most effective in feed and raw materials with a relative high
moisture content. In that way the active ingredients in HAMECOSAL-DRY can more
easily distribute throughout the treated products.
Contaminated feed and water ingested by the bird enters the crop where there is a high moisture content and a
sufficiently low pH to eliminate a high percentage of potential pathogens. The presence of HAMECOSAL-DRY
in the crop should effectively minimise the risk of salmonella infection from this source.

HAMECOSAL-LIQUID
The in-feed and raw material Salmonella killer
Salmonella bacteria constitute a considerable threat to the health of human beings and animals. It is estimated
that 30% to 40% of the poultry and pigs are infected by salmonella bacteria, some of which are more pathogenic than others. Often these animals are clinically healthy carriers, so that there is a constant danger of infection
within the food chain.
There are many factors which can cause the infection of food with salmonella bacteria; not only is the microbiological quality of the feed important, but also, for example hygiene during slaughtering, and during the preparation of the food by the consumer. One possible way to break through the salmonella cycle is to produce
salmonella-free feed. In particular feeds in which ingredients of animal origin are used, are often found to be
infected with salmonella.
HAMECOSAL-LIQUID an effective salmonella killer for use in feed raw materials and finished feed. HAMECOSAL-LIQUID kills other threatful enteric bacteria as there are Campylobacter and listeria species.
HAMECOSAL-LIQUID is a liquid product containing many different organic acids which are highly effective
in killing salmonella bacteria. HAMECOSAL-LIQUID guarantees homogeneous distribution during treatment
and intensive contact with the salmonella germs.
HAMECOSAL-LIQUID has a pH value of 4.0, which means that it is both user-friendly and equipment friendly. The palatability of the feeds is retained. In order to achieve the maximum effect HAMECOSAL-LIQUID must
be pressure-sprayed into the material to be treated. It is essential that the distribution should be even. HAMECO
AGRO B.V. can supply the required dosage system.

MODE OF ACTION
It is well accepted that the inclusion of certain enzymes in animal feeds improves the digestibility of non-starch
polysaccharides (NSP) such as beta-glucans and xylans. Plants store phosphorus in the form of phytate, which in
itself is unavailable, but also complexes other nutrients. Phytase will break this down, releasing phosphorus as
well as starch, protein, amino acids ect.
A strong synergistic effect is seen when phytase and NPS enzymes are combined in the
HAMECOZYME MULTI range of products

HAMECOTOX
INTRODUCTION
The growth of moulds in raw materials and finished feeds for livestock is a universal problem. Mould spores,
of the so called field fungi, can contaminate cereal grains in the standing crop and in severe conditions, these
spores can germinate, especially under irrigated crops, to produce fungal toxins known as mycotoxins.
During storage a different range of moulds, the storage fungi, become more important. These moulds can grow
at moisture contents above 11% and, like the field fungi can lead to a build up of mycotoxins.
The most important genus of toxin producing moulds is Aspergillus and the toxins produced by moulds of this
genus are known as Aflatoxins.
Mycotoxins are extremely toxic by-products of fungal metabolism and range from large complex molecular
structures to simple three carbon derivatives. Mycotoxins are toxic at levels below 20 ug/kg (parts per billion)
and no level of mycotoxin in feed can be considered safe. Recent UK legislation has introduced a maximum of
10 ug/kg on produce imported for further processing with a maximum of 4 ug/kg for finished produce.
The effect of mycotoxin ingestion by an animal ranges from simple growth depression to fertility problems,
immune disorders, liver damage and death.
The most damaging and the most commonly occurring mycotoxins are the Aflatoxins of which there are several
major types Aflatoxin M1, B1, B2, D1, G1 and G2. The most important species is Aspergillus flavus.
Even in temperate climates products such as maize, copra, groundnuts, cottonseed, soya, millet, wheat,
sorghum, rice and sunflower seeds are often found to contain Aflatoxins as a result of poor storage and
transport conditions prior to arrival at the feedmill.
PRODUCT
There is no cure for disorders caused by mycotoxin poisoning of animals. The use of a mould inhibitor may kill
the mould but cannot eradicate the mycotoxin. The feed remains toxic to the livestock that eat the feed.
Many absorbent products are capable of absorbing Aflatoxins, these include charcoal, zeolites, cellulose fibres
etc. Most of these materials can absorb Aflatoxins in such a way as to prevent their detection during a chemical
assay procedure however they can release these poisons during digestion.
17
<< back
HAMECOTOX is a complexed hydrated aluminium silicate that has been developed to bind chemically with the
molecular structure of Aflatoxins in an irreversible manner.
HAMECOTOX traps Aflatoxins as a result of electrostatic attraction to aluminium ions and protects the animal
by rendering the Aflatoxin inactive throughout the digestion process.
In trials HAMECOTOX has been found effective in trapping mycotoxins in animal feeds.
AVAILABILITY
HAMECOTOX is a dry, free-flowing product that is packed in 20 and 25 kg bags.
USAGE
HAMECOTOX is incorporated into animal feeds known to contain mycotoxins or that have been produced
from raw materials either suspected, or known to contain mycotoxins.
The rate of inclusion varies with the severity of the mycotoxin level present but is normally in the range
of 0.5 - 5 kg/Te.

HAMECO-ACID
All organisms have an optimum range of pH for growth. The tolerance of different species to pH levels outside
their optimum varies. In most cases enteropathogens have a low tolerance to low (acid) pHs whilst commensal
microflora tend to prefer a more acid environment.
The inclusion of acids in the ration can reduce scours and increase proteolysis, leading to improved performance. Lactic acid, fumaric acid, formic acid, propionic acid and citric acid and their salts have been shown to
improve growth rate and feed efficiency in pigs as a result of promoting peptic activity.
After numerous trials over several years to identify the ideal composition of an acidifier it was discovered that by
selecting two major components in specific proportions blended with a weak base greater responses in terms of
growth rate and feed efficiency could be obtained.
HAMECO-ACID is a carefully balanced blend of ammonium formate, formic acid and propionic acid on an
acidified verxite base. This combination ensures that the feed pH does not fall to a level that will reduce intakes
nor does it create a nose rendering the feed unpalatable. Ammonium formate has a greater activity than the
equivalent amount of calcium formate as it rapidly dissociates in the digestive tract and is compatible with
copper when used as growth promoter. Formic acid has a potent antimicrobial effect against all Gram negative
species and therefore acts to reduce numbers of these organisms in feed, and, by virtue of the carrier, throughout the length of the gut.
The pH lowering effect of HAMECO-ACID is particularly important in the stomach duodenum and jejunum
where the digestion of proteins will be improved as a result of the conversion of pepsinogen (the pro enzyme
op pepsin) to the active enzyme. This means improved nitrogen retention and improved growth. In feeds containing milk the acids in HAMECO-ACID help overcome the natural acid binding properties of milk products as
well as assisting in the coagulation of milk proteins prior to digestion. The active ingredients in HAMECO-ACID
are totally metabolisable and therefore cause no residue problems nor is there a withdrawal period.
When HAMECO-ACID is added to the feed the acidifying power will reduce the pH to about 6.0 where the
commensal microflora will now outgrow the potential pathogens and maintain a healthy gut.
At the same time as HAMECO-ACID is acting as an acidifier in the gut the formic and propionic acids will be
actively killing the other Gram negative bacteria entering the gut via the feed or water.
19
<< back
USAGE
Used at 1.5kg/te inclusion as a feed acidifier or 3 kg/te to eliminate Salmonellae HAMECO-ACID poses no risk
to operators and is more pleasant to handle than many more volatile products.
The inclusion of HAMECO-ACID in different ration formulations will have different magnitudes of response.
For example highly buffered feeds will show a much lower response than when included with low acid binding
feeds.
When formulating pig rations care should always be taken to ensure that the minimum inclusion of high acid
binding components are used if maximum benefit of HAMECO-ACID is to be achieved.
Rations based on maize or soya therefore show a greater performance improvement with HAMECO-ACID than
rations with high levels of fishmeal, meat meal or milk products.
BENEFITS
The benefits of HAMECO-ACID can be summed up as follows:
1. Improved growth rates.
2. Improved feed intake/palatability.
3. Reduced intestinal disorders from coliform and other
enteropathogenic bacteria.
4. Stimulation of digestive enzymes and bile production.
5. Reduced spoilage of feed during storage (improved feed quality).
6. Lower inclusion level than single acid products.
7. Provides a certain nutritional value to the ration.
8. Fully metabolisable active ingredients - no residues, no withdrawal.
9. No resistance build up as found with antibiotics.
10. Withstands pelleting.

HAMECO-pH
DESCRIPTION
HAMECO-pH is developed to control in a natural way bacterial diarrhoea in piglets and poultry. Further on
HAMECO-pH improves significantly the microbiological quality of the drinking water.
HAMECO-pH is a liquid, balanced mixture of acidulants and emulsifiers to compensate the physiological
hydrochloric acid deficiency in the stomach of piglets and poultry.
HAMECO-pH is applied through the drinking water systems.
The important acidity in the stomach and the less marked acidity in the lower intestine are a necessary condition to reduce the multiplication of pathogenic enterobacteria, like E.coli and Salmonella.
With HAMECO-pH the buffer capacity of the feed/water intake is reduced, and thereby a higher enzymatic
digestibility can be attained. It also influences the bacterial population in the upper part of the intestine. Here
HAMECO-pH promotes the development of useful bacteria like Lactobacilli.
BENEFITS
These advantages will give a significant better feed conversion rate and a significant lower mortality.
APPLICATION
Indicative dosage rate is 2 - 3 litres of HAMECO-pH per 1000 litres of drinking water.
During the whole day if bacterial infections are present. In case of a preventive treatment only 8 hours a day the
drinking water is treated.
STABILITY
HAMECO-pH can be stored unlimited. Colour change does not affect performance.
PACKING
P.E.-drums of 25, 225 and 1000 kg net.

HAMECO-2-PLUS
Mycotoxins are highly toxic metabolites produced by certain fungal species for example Aspergillus, Fusarium
& penicillium that grow in the grain or in the animal feeds during production, transport, processing, storage
and these toxins are not visible to the human eye. So they can go undetected causing great lose to the producer
& significant health risks for the consumer.
The great losses are;
1. higher mortality rate
2. feed conversion increases
3. feed efficiency decrease
4. medication cost increases
5. body weight decrease
6. reduce to egg shell quality
7. drop in egg production
8. immunosuppression
9. failure in the hepatic, pancreatic and renal functions
10. ulceration and necrotic lesions in the oral mucosa due to infection by T-2 toxins
MODE OF ACTION
HAMECO-2-PLUS liquid contains many active ingredients which play role at important for controlling the
mycotoxins problems. Yeast fermentation extract contains mannan oligosaccharide (type of carbohydrate)
and the yeast extract make structural changes of the mycotoxin molecule to obtaining non toxic and harmless
metabolites, then eliminated through the faeces. Mannos sugar in the manna-oligosaccharide influence the
immune system by stimulating the secretion of mannos binding protein from the liver, which bind to invading
bacteria & mycotoxin. Mannan oligosaccharide binds pathogens & mycotoxins in the gut without affecting the
good or beneficial bacteria. Mannan oligosaccharide not binds the nutrients such as vitamins, amino acids, trace
elements & anticoccidial drugs. Mannan oligosaccharide is only absorbent in binds Trichothens include (DON
