Course Description
Using critical appraisal of the literature, clinical evidence, and health systems
to plan the implementation and evaluation of inter-professional strategies for
high quality, cost-effective health outcomes.

Grades for this course are based on the students performance on the
discussion questions/assignments. Each week(s) point distribution is shown on
the table below.

Students are expected to complete all assignments, including the required
readings and learning activities by the due dates posted. All written
assignments must be typed following APA format and submitted by the due
date. Late assignments will receive a 10% deduction in points for each day
late. If you have an emergency, please contact the instructor for an extension.
The final course grade will be determined according to the following
grading scale:
180 - 200 = A
160 179 = B
140 159 = C
120 139 = D
<120 = F
HIPAA Requirement
The federal government's Privacy Rule became effective April 14, 2003. The
Privacy Rule provides the first comprehensive federal protection for the
privacy of health information. The College initiated the following course
requirements to ensure privacy compliance for all CON students.

Standards of Practice
This course meets the standards for Evidence Based Practice for DNP outlined
in the ANCC DNP Essentials Guidelines and the standards for DNP set forth
by NONPF. The Professional Standards and Competencies used as resources
for course content are listed with the weekly course content on the course
schedule.
