Chapter 4
Two Digit Addition
We will begin Chapter 4 this
week. Students will find a sum by
breaking apart a 1-digit addend to
make a 2-digit addend a multiple
of 10, apply place value when using a break-apart strategy for 2digit addition, and model 2-digit
addition with regrouping. Ch. 4
packet will come home this week.
*Math words: sum, added, tens,
and hundreds.

Dear Parents,

Read 20 minutes each night


and complete one page
in Math HW packet.
Monday-Read weekly story.
Wednesday-Study Vocabulary words/cards.
Thursday-Study for Reading
weekly test and complete
Spelling Practice Test.

Second Graders will go to the Alabama Food Bank on Friday


this week. Please remind your child to wear their AEEC or Glow
t-shirt. We will tour the Food Bank and learn how they collect
and then distribute food to needy people in nearby communities.
Students will take the information back to share with AEEC students as we begin our AEEC school food drive.
Our Holiday Meal day is coming up on November 16th. Dont
forget to send in your reservation as soon as possible. Hope to
see you there!
