Background

Siemens Thailand
Siemens has maintained economic and technical links with Thailand for more than a
century. Local trading companies sold high-quality products and systems produced by Sie-
mens in Germany in areas ranging from telecommunications to medical systems and from
power generation to industrial equipment.
In 1995 Siemens positioned itself as a serious player in its own right in Thailand with
the establishment of Siemens Ltd., a company majority owned by Siemens AG, with a local
shareholder through B. Grimm Joint Venture Holding Co., Ltd.
Siemens are committed to a long-term future in Thailand, both through our in-
volvement in all sectors of industry: Information and Communications, Automation and Con-
trol, Power, Transportation, Medical, and through an investment in the competence of our
employees.
During the difficult time of economic downturn in 1997, we have proved that we did
not revoke our long-term focus, but continued to complete existing projects and supported
our customers who were adversely affected by market forces beyond their control. Against
this background, we have been able to enhance our image as a reliable supplier of quality
solutions and services and as a serious partner for our customers in Thailand.
Siemens are in a unique position to meet the needs of our customers, in that we of-
fer the full spectrum of electrical engineering products, systems, solutions and services -
with strong local competence from planning and engineering through logistics and project
management to after-sales support.

Conclusion
My internship experience was both exciting and valuable. Working with Siemens was
such a memorable experience. I learned a lot about myself, my career path, and the business
world.
During the internship I met many kinds of people. Some was really good to me they
teach me things I don’t know, welcome me with great hospitality, and take care me like I
was work there for a long time. I gain a lot of experience from this people. I also met many
of SIIT graduated student. I learned that social skill is important. People cannot work alone
we have to work with many people and sometime we have to work with the people we
don’t like.
I also realized from the internship that learning and working is quite difference. Even
I learn a lot of thing from SIIT but still there are many things I never know about. There are
things that cannot be taught in the class room. And there are things that we have to apply
what we learn in order to achieve the goal.
Overall I am very happy with my internship. I gain many valuable experiences from
this internship. I would like to thank to SIIT and Siemens for giving me this opportunity.
