The key takeaways are general requirements for plumbing fixtures and fittings, including materials used, lead content, standards compliance, and water-conserving fixtures.

Plumbing fixtures must be made of durable, non-absorbent materials and conform to nationally recognized standards. Sheet lead thickness and fixture fittings are also specified.

Water closets, urinals, metering faucets, and pre-rinse spray valves all have maximum water consumption requirements. Water-conserving fixtures must be installed per manufacturer instructions.
