Khatiyan, also known as Record of Rights, is a document that identifies land ownership and possession in Bangladesh through surveys. RSKhatiyan:After50yearsofCSsurveyanothersurveywasheldon.ThissurveywasknownasRevisional
SurveyandthekhatiyanmadefromthissurveyisknownasRSKhatiyan.Thepurposeofthissurveyisto
updatetheamountofland,ownersnameandpossessorsname.ItismoreauthenticthantheCSkhatiyan.

SAKhatiyan:ThisKhatiyanwaspreparedunderStateAcquisitionandTenancyAct1950.Actuallythisisnot
apracticalSurveyorthisisnotbasedonfieldsurvey.Thiskhatiyanwasmadeontheinformationwasgivenby
theZamindarorLandlord.SAkhatiyanmeansStateacquisitionkhatiyanorSettlementAttestation.Itisalso
knownasPSkhatiyanorPakistanSurveyKhatiyan.Thisisnotanauthentickhatiyan.

BSKhatiyan:Thisisthemoreauthentickhatiyanthanallotherkhatiyan.Asurveywasstartedon1970which
iscontinuingtillnow.ThissurveyisknownasBangladeshSurveyandthekhatiyanmadefromBSsurveyis
knownasBSKhatiyanorBangladeshSurveyKhatiyan.
