    Mozart's Oboe Concerto in C major, K. 314 was composed in 1777 for oboist Giuseppe Ferlendis. Mozart later reworked it as his Flute Concerto No. 2 in D major in 1778. The concerto is divided into three movements and is considered an important work for both the oboe and flute repertoire. It uses a standard classical orchestra arrangement and the movements are in the keys of C major, F major, and a returning C major. The original oboe version was lost but was believed to be the inspiration for the flute concerto based on references and similarities in the orchestral parts.
