Detective Angela N ucci, being duly sworn upon oath, hereby makes application to this Court for a
warrant to search the Premises, hereinafter described, for the property and things hereinafter described.
Afant knows the contents of this application and supporting afdavit, and the statements herein are
true of his/her own knowledge, save as to such as are herein stated on information and belief, and as to
those, he/she believes them to be true.
Afant has good reason to believe, and does believe, that the following described property and things,
to wit:
-To process the crime scene which includes photographing, drawings, video recordings, and
any other process needed to document the scene to include areas identied as Princes
residence, Recording Studio, ofces, and any other rooms contained within this address.
-Collect any documents that identify ownership, occupancy of the below listed
address.
-Collect any and all documentation that may include or describe information on the
deceased medical condition, treatments, medical history, prescriptions.
-Collect any and all illicit narcotics that could explain the cause of the decedents
death.
-Collect any notes, ledgers, receipts, prescriptions, and other documentation that
could explain the source of any medications and/or illicit narcotics discovered in
the premises.

This afant applies for issuance of a search warrant upon the following grounds:
The facts tending to establish the foregoing grounds for issuance of a search warrant are as follows:
Your Afant, Detective Angela Nucci, has been employed by the Caver County Sheriffs Office for
approximately 3 years and is a licensed Peace Ofcer with the State of Minnesota. Detective Nucci is
currently assigned to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sheriff 5 Ofce.
As part of her assignment, Detective Nucci has received the following information:
On April 21, 2016 at approximately 0945hrs, Carver County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a medical
where a person was found not breathing. At approximately 0948hrs, Deputy Adam Hastings arrived on scene
and located the victim identied as Prince Rogers Nelson (DOB. 06/07/Jr97-817Pmas found
unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene. 275?

Your Afant was made aware by witnesses that were interviewed, that Prince recently had a history of going
through withdrawals, which are believed to be the result of the abuse of prescription medication.
Further, Your Afant received information from interviews conducted, that Princes assistants had arranged a
meeting between Prince and medical professionals to assess and address Princes medical concerns.
Because of the information received, and facts surrounding the unwitnessed death of Prince Rogers Nelson,
Your Afant requests the Courts permission to process the scene which includes taking photographs, making
drawings, taking video recordings, and any other process needed to document the scene.
Your Afant is also requesting the Courts permission to collect any and all documentation that may
include or describe information on the deceased medical condition, treatments, medical history, and
prescriptions. Also, to collect any and all prescription medications, illicit narcotics, narcotic related
paraphernalia, including scales, narcotic residues, syringes, that could assist investigators in determining
the cause of Prince Rogers Nelsons death; and to also include notes, ledgers, receipts, and other
documentation that could explain the source of any medications and/or illicit narcotics discovered in the
premises.

WHEREAS, the application and supporting afdavit of Detective Angela Nucci was/were
duly presented and read by the Court, and being fully advised in the premises.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Court nds that probable cause exists for the issuance of a search
warrant upon the following grounds:
- The property above-described constitutes evidence which tends to show a crime has been
committed, or tends to show that a particular person has committed a crime.
The Court further nds that probable cause exists to believe that the above-described property
and things are at the above-described premises, 7801 Audubon Rd, in Chanhassen MN 55317.
