INTRODUCTION PAGE

Students begin a learning session by selecting an activity on the main program page. A click on any activity
button takes the student to an introduction page. The introduction page describes the activity in general
terms. Formulas for the topic of the activity are listed with descriptions of the variables involved. Each
introduction page gives examples of application of formulas and processes. The examples show problem
solutions in detail for those students with limited algebra experience. A click on the Begin button takes
the student to the activity page.

ACTIVITY

Each activity has a short explanation at the top of the activity page. Items are presented one at a time for the
student to accomplish. Students answers are typed into a space provided on the page. The student must
click on Grade Answer to have the program evaluate the answer provided. The word CORRECT in red
appears above the students answer if the answer is correct. The word INCORRECT in gray appears
above the students answer if the answer is incorrect. The complete correct solution process appears on the
screen after an incorrect answer is given. The student clicks on the Continue button when ready to go to
the next item.

GRADE

A grade is awarded after all items of an activity have been finished. The student will then be offered the
option to print a grade certificate or store the score on a diskette. The program returns to the main page of
the program after each activity.
