To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing on behalf of Miss Rachel Mayotte, senior at Western High School. I have the
pleasure of teaching Rachel in our Advanced Placement Psychology course, as well as
previously in our elective course of psychology. In addition, she is a part of our student council
and as the advisor, I have the opportunity to work with her in an extracurricular environment.
She works diligently as an individual, as well as being a good listener. Rachel demonstrates
respect and positive interaction with adults and her peers, as well as personable character that
many adore.

Rachels interaction with others is always done with respect. She has consistently treated me
with respect and I have watched as she interacts with other staff members and the same kindness
is witnessed. Not only does Rachel interact with her teachers in a respectful manner, but with
her peers as well. For example, her kindness and charm are key characteristics used when
working with a partner or group in our AP psychology classroom.

Not only does Rachel demonstrate her work ethic in the classroom, but also in our school
community. Rachels determination for leading a school is impressive. As a student council
member I have the opportunity to work with Rachel in several extracurricular activities. Rachel
demonstrates her passion for school involvement, peer leadership and dedication to her
community. Some activities for which Rachel has led include Homecoming Spirit Section and
Formal assemblies; her willingness to serve others is obvious!

As an overachiever, Rachel stays on top of her studies and completes all tasks placed in front of
her. She is reliable and all assignments are in on time; she also indulges in extra credit options
when the opportunity is presented. Rachel continues to be a positive role model and I am
confident she will achieve success not only academically, yet in all aspects of life, which is why
I fully support her nomination for the The Jackson Community Foundation.
