    Bucaramanga is the capital city of Santander department in Colombia. It has a population of over 530,000 people and the fifth largest economy in Colombia. The main industries are footwear, clothing, healthcare and education. Bucaramanga is known as the "City of Parks" for its many green spaces, including the National Park of Chicamocha, Ecopark Cerro del Santísimo, and Las Palmas Park in downtown. Cultural attractions include the Corfescu Theater, Arte Moderno Museum, and Guane Museum about the indigenous Guane people. There are also several shopping malls, including El Cacique and La Quinta.

    BUCARAMANGA

    Is the capital city of the department of Santander, Colombia. Bucaramanga has the fifth largest economy by GDP in
    Colombia and has the eighth largest population in the country, with 530,900 people.

    The main economic activities that Bucaramanga has developed are related to trade and different kind of service
    provision. Nowadays, the industrial activity of Bucaramanga has been recognized as one of the most powerful in the
    country, those fields are footwear, clothing, as well as provision of health and high levels of education.

    Bucaramanga is called, "The city of parks", some of them are:

    National park of Chicamocha "PANACHI" : It's a park dedicated to ecoturism, and is located in between
    Bucaramanga-San Gil. www.parquenacionaldelchicamocha.com
    Ecopark "Cerro del Santsimo": It has a monument of Jesus Christ, and is located in between of two of the biggest
    mountains in Floridablanca.
    La Flora park: It's an ecologic park with walking trails and recreative zones.
    "Las Cigarras" park: It's located in Ciudadela Real de Minas.
    Las Palmas Park : It's one of the most polpular and traditional park of Bucarmanga. Also, it's sorrounded by coffee
    shops and restaurants.
    Garca Rovira park: It's located in downtown, surrounded by The Bucaramanga City Hall , the Parish of San Laureano , the
    Chapel of Los Dolores and Luis Carlos Galan Sarmiento Civic Plaza.

    Arte Moderno Museum: It's the main place where you can find scultures and paintings. This musseum is located

    Guane Museum: It's located in la Casa de la Cultura Piedra del Sol. It's has a huge colection of Guane native
    objects. It's located in Carrera 7 # 4 - 35, Floridablanca, Tel: (7) 6198181.
    Girn: It's a metropolitan area located 20 minutes away from Bucaramanga.It's recognized by the colonial
    architecture around the area. Also, in Giron you can find the Basilica del Seor de los Milagros and the Chapel
    de las nieves.
    Principal park: It's the central park in the metropolitan area, where you can find plenty traditional things from our
    culture. besides, you can find the minor basilica del Seor de los Milagros.
    Las Nieves park: This park has over a traditional chapel built 400 years ago.
