Teaching & This course adopts a case-based teaching approach in which focus is on

Activities to Organizational Behaviour. Theoretical concepts are introduced in lectures
(TLAs) and supplemented with presentations and group discussions. Real-life
situations will be used to illustrate the application of theoretical concepts on
solving business problems.
TLA 1. Lectures
The theoretical concepts of Organizational Behaviour are introduced by
lectures, which directly contribute to the intended outcome 1-3
TLA 2. Group Assignments
Students are asked to form groups with around 3-5 members to complete two
take home assignments. Group assignments give students the opportunities
to apply and integrate the knowledge learned and to demonstrate the
problem solving skills. By engaging in these assignments, students will not
only learn to work as a team but also develop their team spirit and
communication skills that are useful in their future work. Group assignments
directly contribute to CILOS 1-4.
TLA 3. Case discussion and Presentation
A number of real life case studies will be incorporated into the course to
illustrate the application of theoretical concepts on solving employees and
organizational issues. In-class group discussions and presentations will be
supplemented so to develop students teamwork and abilities in critical
thinking and analytical skills on the theoretical concepts. Through group
discussions, case study analysis and presentations, students are able to not
only acquire necessary knowledge, but also develop critical thinking, problem
solving and team collaborative skills. These teaching and learning activities
contribute to the intended learning outcome of 1-4.
TLA 4. Consultation
Course lecturer offers consultation after class to address students questions.
Students are encouraged to discuss the subject issues with the lecturer in person or
by email. Consultation is one teaching method that meets cilos 1-3.
