EXPOSURE TO HIGH CONCENTRATIONS: Corrosion of the upper respiratory tract.
FOLLOWING SYMPTOMS MAY APPEAR LATER: Respiratory difficulties. Possible
inflammation of the respiratory tract. Risk of pneumonia. Risk of lung oedema.
Symptoms/effects after skin contact : Caustic burns/corrosion of the skin.
Symptoms/effects after eye contact : Corrosion of the eye tissue. Permanent eye damage.
Symptoms/effects after ingestion : Risk of aspiration pneumonia. Burns to the gastric/intestinal mucosa. Possible esophageal
perforation. Blood in vomit. Diarrhoea. Shock. Change in the haemogramme/blood
composition. Change in urine composition. Decreased renal function.
