MCS Ag

MCS-AG is a biodegradable surfactant used in cement spacer systems to improve bonding between casing, formation and cement. It strongly water-wets surfaces to promote bonding over a wide temperature range from 75°F to over 400°F. MCS-AG can be used in weighted or unweighted spacer systems with densities ranging from 8.5 to 20 ppg depending on the fluid, and is compatible with water, oil-based mud and most completion fluids.

Applications

MCS-AG is a surfactant used in cement spacer systems to prevent mud incompatibility and improve bonding.
This strong water-wetter is biodegradable.
Features
Cement Bonding
Strongly water-wets the casing and formation to promote improved bonding.

Flexibility
Can be used in water when an unweighted spacer is required or in MCS-2, 3 and 4 when a weighted system is
needed. This allows a density range from 8.5 to 20 ppg (1023 to 2396 kg/m3).

Versatility
Compatible with water, oil-based mud and most completion fluids by adjusting the surfactant loading from 0.5 to 4
gal/bbl.

Temperature Stability
Can be used in wells from 750 to over 4000F (240 to 2040C).
Benefits
Excellent water-wetting improves bonding.
Can be used in weighted and unweighted spacers.
Compatible with most drilling fluids, completion fluids and cement slurries.
Effective over a wide temperature range.
Biodegradable.

Safety Precautions

Follow normal safety precautions to prevent contact with skin and eyes. Respirators should be worn in enclosed
areas to prevent breathing of fumes.
