D.C. REGULATED POWER SUPPLY
0 - 24 V / 1 A
INTRODUCTION
DC Regulated power supply is versatile, power easy to use, low power, low voltage, high
regulation, laboratory supply specially suitable for experimental set ups, circuit development
and low voltage applications.
It provide output voltage from 0 - 24V and current from 0-1A. Both voltage and current are
precisely regulated with low output ripple. It is fully protected against overload. The output
voltage and current are monitored on separate digital meters. The power supply is designed
to operate in ambient temperatures of upto 500C and full output may be drawn continuously
provided free air circulation is allowed.
SPECIFICATIONS
POWER ON : The power ON/OF control energies the unit when turned 'ON' .
FUSE : Panel mounting Fuse holder with glass cartridge fuse for
protection is provided.
VOLTAGE Controls : Two controls (Coarse & Fine) for adjustment of output voltage to
desired value
CURRENT Control : Two controls (Coarse & Fine) for adjustment of output current to
desired value
OUTPUT Terminals :
a) + TERMINAL (RED) : Red BTI 15 terminal provides the output voltage with respect to
V- terminal (facility to connect male plug (4mm) or wire)
b) -TERMINAL (BLACK): Black BTI 15 terminal provides the output voltage with respect to
V+ terminal (facility to connect male plug (4mm) or wire)
The Power Supply works on 230V +/- 10%, 50Hz single phase AC supply. A three pin plug
with cable is provided to connect the power supply to mains. Use of 3 pin plug and 3 core
cable enables the unit to be properly grounded.
Observe that the ON / OFF Power Control switch is in the OFF position and plug the unit into
three pin wall socket (with proper earthing) giving 230V AC , 50 Hz, 1 phase. Turn the power
control switch to ON position, the built in indicator & digital meters will start glowing.
The DC Regulated Power Supply gives the selected output between 0-24V and current up to
1 Amps.
Now the power supply is ready for use within the set voltage and current limit and will
go into CC (Constant Current) mode when the load current increases over the set limit and
the output voltage will drop to minimum (near zero).
To bring back to normal CV (Constant Voltage) mode, decrease the load back below
the set current.
