1) The SD-card recording is not recording and why is the time stamp always showing
in Year 2013?
Please check the firmware version of the camera. If it is v.1.8, please download the latest
firmware (v.2.0 or above) from our support website and update the camera. Once the
camera is linked to the router with Internet, the correct time and date will be shown.
To have SD Card recording with audio, kindly update the IP camera firmware to v2.0 or
above.
3) How can I tell whether the camera is being linked to my router with Internet?
The indicator on the camera front will be in BLUE when it is connected with Internet.
Static BLUE - Camera is ready and no devices are accessing it.
Fast Blink BLUE - Camera is being accessed by someone.
4) I cant see the SSID of the camera anymore from my wireless scanned list.
You can disable the Auto AP option, ONLY if you want to use both the camera and
wireless extender feature together.
Once disabled, the camera SSID will be detectable.
(i) Inserting or removing SD Card from camera requires turning OFF the camera
first.
(ii) SD Card should be formatted to FAT32. NTFS format is able to read/write but it
is not stable at the moment. exFAT format is not supported.
6) Why is the mLiteView/LiteView showing black screen?
This might be caused by inserting or removing the SD Card without turning off the
camera. Restart the camera to solve this problem.
7) After sometime, I cannot access the camera or connect the camera to the WIFI
router even after restarting the camera. The camera red led is always ON.
Remove the SD Card and restart the camera. Try to access the camera without the SD
Card first. If you can access the camera, then most likely your SD Card is corrupted. In
this case, please re-format the SD Card with your computer or portable devices.
mLiteView: Go to View Event > choose the event clips that you want to see from here.
LiteView: Click on the Playback icon and select Remote Event List.
Then select your camera name and choose the date which you want to view the clips from
and click Search.
All the recorded clips will be shown. Highlight the clip you want to see and click on the
playback button on the left side to view the video.
10) Why do I not see the previous recorded event listing even when there is enough
space in the SD Card?
As the default page only show the current day events, please tap on the custom search
(magnifying glass icon) to show the other dates event listing.
11) Can the PIC2001WE do direct connection recording (to SD Card) without the need
of a network router?
Yes, the camera is able to do direct connection recording, however do take note the
following.
(i) As there is no RTC clock in this camera, one have to connect the camera to the
Internet first, in order for the correct time to be synced.
(ii) Once the time has been synced to the current timing, you can disconnect the
Internet from the PIC2001WE by switching off the network router.
(iii) If the time is not sync, the SD card recorded clips will not be shown in the View
Event listing, due to the streaming video time stamp showing the default Year
2013.
(iv) When the camera is switch off for a long time, the time will revert back to the
default camera timing of Year 2013.
Press and hold the reset button -> Fast Blink RED (camera reboot) -> Slow Blink RED
(camera factory default) -> Release the reset button
13) Will the recording stop once the SD Card capacity is full?
The default recording mode of the SD Card media is Circular recording, which means the
newest clip will replace the earliest clip once full capacity is reached.
14) Will the PIC2001WE support cloud and NAS recording in the near future?
15) I am not able to receive any email alert via from my Gmail account.
