Fault Code: 1381 Auxiliary Temperature Sensor Calibration-dependent progressive power and
PID(P), SID(S): Input 1 - Special Instructions. OEM speed derate and engine shutdown with
SPN: 441 temperature out-of-range has increasing time after alert.
FMI: 14 been detected. Voltage signal at
Lamp: Maintenance the OEM temperature SIGNAL pin
SRT: indicates OEM temperature is
beyond the OEM-specified
threshold.
Circuit Description:
The OEM resistive signal is used by the ECM to monitor an OEM temperature. The OEM temperature is used by the ECM
for the engine protection system.
Component Location:
The location varies with the OEM. Refer to the OEM service manual.
Shop Talk:
There are multiple ECMs for the engine models included in this manual. Each ECM has an individual source address that
displays when INSITE electronic service tool is connected. When troubleshooting a fault code, use the source address
displayed in INSITE to determine which ECM and circuit is affected.
