    Introduction:
    Faith is a living virtue with unlimited capacity for growth 2Thess. 1:3
    Faith grows primarily by the Word Rom. 10:17
    But faith also grows by prayer Ps. 119:18/Jer. 33:3/ Jude 20
    This is why building ones faith is no cheap talk, it is hardwork Heb. 4:10-12
    For instance, it takes genuine labour in the Word for ones faith to grow 1Tim. 5:17
    Week 1 (Wed, 3rd May, 2017): UNDERSTANDING THE DEMANDS OF BUILDING YOUR FAITH Part 1
    How to build your faith?
    Faith grows by hearing and understanding the Word of God Rom. 10:17/ Pro. 4:20/ 2Tim. 2:15
    Faith grows by meditating on the Word because meditation boosts spiritual understanding
    Ps. 119:97-100/ 1Tim. 4:13/15
    Faith grows by praying in the Holy Ghost Jude 20/ 1Cor. 2:13
    Week 2 (Wed, 10th May, 2017): UNDERSTANDING THE DEMANDS OF BUILDING YOUR FAITH Part 2
    Faith can be activated by engaging the following:
    One must keep his hope alive 1Pet. 1:3/ Eccl. 9:4/ Job 14:7-8
    Faith is activated by hope Heb. 11:1.
    Hope is a vital force that keeps faith alive until the desired result is delivered Rom. 4:18-21
    But Hope also is activated by revelation of the word Rom. 15:4
    One must keep the joy of the Lord alive in himself
    It is with Joy we access revelation Is. 12:3
    We cannot access the path of life without joy Ps. 16:11
    It takes joy to access revelation and it takes revelation to build our faith Rom. 10:17

    The following are biblical faith boosters:
    Connecting with the ministry of anointed teachers Is. 30:20-21/ Eph.4:4-8/ Job 33:23-24
    Paul, a man of unusual faith was a book addict 2Tim. 4:13/ 2Cor. 12:7/ Acts 24:14
    Daniels spiritual understanding was boosted through books Dan. 9:2/ Dan. 6:23
    Connecting with the understanding of testimonies of others because testimonies are powerful
    faith boosters Ps. 119:111/144/ Is. 8:16/20/ Ps. 78:40-43
    Week 4 (Wed, 24th May, 2017): UNDERSTANDING THE DEMANDS OF BUILDING YOUR FAITH Part 4
    We Build Our Faith Through Prayer and Fasting
    Scripturally, faith is a function of revelation Acts 8:26-35
    That is, spiritual understanding of the truth is what stirs faith Rom. 10:17
    But there is a battle against our access to revelation 2Cor. 4:4
    In most cases, the battle for access to revelation requires prayer and fasting to conquer

    Revelation of the truth comes across always at a cost Pro. 23:23
    Biblical examples of men of faith who engaged the power of prayer and fasting for light:

    Paul, the Apostle 2 Cor. 6:5/ 2Cor. 11:27/ 2 Cor. 12:7 (Acts 24:14)
    It is by light that we shatter the powers of darkness because when we encounter light, faith
    comes alive to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked Is. 60:1-3/ Eph. 6:12/ Jn. 1:5/9/ Eph. 6:16
    Week 5 (Wed, 31st May, 2017): UNDERSTANDING THE DEMANDS OF BUILDING YOUR FAITH Part 5
    To keep ones faith growing, one must beware of the following:
    Beware of going after other gods Ps. 62:5
    Beware of the curse of serving other gods - Ex. 20:4-5/ Ps. 16:4/ Ps. 34:5
    Beware of an evil conscience
    Without a good conscience, faith is impotent 1Tim 1:19/ 2Chr.16:9
    It takes a pure conscience for faith to deliver 1Tim. 3:9
    One must exercise himself to always have a good conscience towards God and man
    Acts 24:16/ Jer. 17:10
    Jesus is Lord!
