    Marking Scale
    Substantive speeches (1st, 2nd, and Reply) are marked as follows: Margin in points have the following meaning:
    Matter/Manner/Method Meaning Margin Meaning
    69-70 No Speech 15 A very close debate with only minor differences
    71-72 separating both teams.
    Below average with false direction
    73-74 Below with some efforts 6 - 10 A relatively clear decision with one team having
    75-76 an obvious advantage.
