Reflection: I know that my learning objectives were met based on feedback from my peers, and based

on their responses to both me orally and on their question sheets. I think the lesson taught a very basic

part of the art POS that will be useful to them, should they ever find themselves teaching an art class.

There was some discussion after the lesson about artistic ability versus having a basic understanding

of art, that would be required to teach the subject. I think it was conveyed to them that they merely

need to understand what art education involves. Through going over the summarized POS I think they

gained an understanding of this. I think I would improve on the lesson in the future it terms of the

technology and my delivery of it. I was not able to use the monitor in the room because I didnt have

the correct cable. I am also not overly comfortable with presenting and PowerPoint. I feel the learners

were engaged with the format of the PowerPoint in combination with the question sheet. I am happy

with my decision to use PowerPoint to share the artworks. I would have been more effective and easier

to see on the monitor versus my laptop though. They were all able to follow along and complete the

objective. Everyone knew what the five elements of art were at the end of the question sheet. Based

on their feedback and discussion some went from hav ing no knowledge of art, to being able to

understand and see what the 5 elements are and how they are used in art.
