PROJECT REPORT ON DATA MANAGEMENT,

MIS. AND POLLING SYSTEM FOR ELECTION


IN A CLUB

I am graceful to our competent lecturer Mr.Arvind Gupta for
his contribution support for his project assigned to me i.e.
Database Management-Miss and Polling System of Elections
of Doon Club from initial advice and contacts in the early
stage of conceptual inception and through ongoing advice &
encouragement to this day.
We wish to thank our parents for their undivided support and
interest, who has inspired us and stimulated me to go a long
way in successful implementation of my project, without
whom I would be unable to complete this project.
Grateful Acknowledgement also goes to ICAI Branch for
skilled & priceless resources on project documents which
provided helpful techniques for it at various stages of its
execution.
At last I want to thank my friends who appreciated me for my
work & motivated until the closing stages.

ICAI FACULTY.

The DehraDun Club is one of the oldest Clubs in the country.


Founded in 1878, it was originally housed in col. Young’s
bungalow where now stands St. Joseph’s Academy now is.
“The Club was incorporated in February 1901 as the Dehra
Dun Club Limited.
The Club today is a tranquil island of greenery amidst
growing urban build-up. It occupies a total land area of 23,378
sq. mtrs. Of which 4,688.50 sq. mtrs. is covered area, the rest
being open space. It has two spacious lawns, one main
Clubhouse and two residential blocks. A variety of sports and
recreational facilities exist for both indoor and outdoor
activities. The facilities include a large parquet wooden floor
dance /meeting hall, Rummy rooms, Billiards tables, two
indoor badminton halls with wooden flooring, a well equipped
library and reading room, a swimming pool, a gymnasium.
OBJECTIVES OF A CLUB

 To afford to its Members all the usual privileges,


advantages, conveniences and accommodation of a
club.
 To promote social intercourse and to provide
entertainments and healthy recreation for its
Members.
 Dehra Dun Club Ltd. Dehra Dun incorporated under
the Indian Companies Act as a Limited / Association
formed for the purpose not of gains.
 To purchase, take on a lease or hire, or otherwise
acquire any movable or immovable property or any
right or privileges necessary or convenient for the
purpose of club.
ELEGIBILITY FOR NOMINATION

For contesting for membership of the Committee a member


should have minimum of 10(Ten) years standing in the
Club as member at the close of the calendar year. He should
not have been a defaulter at any time during the last five
years.
 For President Ship he should also have served on
the Managing Committee for 2 (Two) complete
terms.
 No member should have been found guilty by a
competent tribunal of a criminal offence involving
moral turpitude or of other gross misconduct.
 No member shall be entitled to be elected to the
Managing Committee, nor entitled to propose or
second a candidate for permanent membership, or
as his nominee for election to the Managing
Committee nor entitled to vote at coming Annual
General Meeting or any Extra Ordinary General
Meeting, if any Club bill is due from him for over 15
days from the date of posting by the Club.
