The document discusses a new family of digital relays called the D family that provide overcurrent protection and replace existing electromechanical relays. The D family relays are self-powered, microprocessor based, and have an exact physical replacement for equivalent E/M relays.

Some of the user friendly features of the D family relays include pickup status LEDs, independent time overcurrent and instantaneous overcurrent trip targets, trip circuit testing, dedicated trip and auxiliary contacts for TOC and IOC, and 50/60Hz selectivity.

The D family relays provide ease of installation and design by replacing hundreds of existing relay models while being electrically and mechanically compatible. They also have the same case size to fit existing cutouts and are self powered.

Coordination Flexibility
• Digital Single Phase IAC, IFC and SFC Cross Reference to GE
Electromechanical/Static Relays

• The DIAC, DIFC and DSFC line of digital single phase, self-powered
relays offers customers a single relay that replaces the hundreds of
different models of IAC, IFC and SFC relays. These relays can replace
the following GE electromechanical & static relay types that require a
time overcurrent range of 0.5-15.9 Amps and an instantaneous
overcurrent range of 1-159 Amps:

IAC51 IAC53 IAC55 IAC57 IAC66 IAC77 IAC95

IFC51 IFC53 IFC57 IFC66 IFC77 IFC95
SFC151 SFC153 SFC177
