    The letter designations for locked-rotor kVA per horsepower as measured at full
    voltage and rated frequency are as follows.

    A 0.0 – 3.15
    B 3.15 – 3.55
    C 3.55 – 4.0

    D 4.0 – 4.5
    E 4.5 – 5.0
    F 5.0 – 5.6
    G 5.6 – 6.3

    H 6.3 – 7.1
    J 7.1 – 8.0

    K 8.0 – 9.0
    L 9.0 – 10.0
    M 10.0 – 11.2

    N 11.2 – 12.5
    P 12.5 – 14.0
    R 14.0 – 16.0
    S 16.0 – 18.0

    T 18.0 – 20.0
    U 20.0 – 22.4
    V 22.4 – & up

    *Locked kVA per horsepower range includes the lower figure up to, but not including, the
    higher figure. For example, 3.14 is designated by letter A and 3.15 by letter B.
