Talent Show Mechanics
1. Each class must have a representative who will perform on the event. Group or solo performance may do. No
minimum or maximum of performers per section.
3. An allotted time of 5 minutes minimum and a maximum of 15 minutes presentation per class is permitted.
Preparation for presentation is included in the time allotted for each performer.
6. Each section shall not spend an amount exceeding P 1,000.00 for props and costumes.
10. Performers who will not abide with the mechanics provided, shall be disqualified.

ATENEO'S GOT TALENT MECHANICS
This is open to all Ateneo high school students.
You may go solo, as a group, or even as a class. Bands are now allowed to join.
In forming groups, you may freely choose your members. You are not limited to being with your classmates or
batch mates.
A group should have a maximum of 40 students.
You may showcase a dance number, song number, play or a combination of talents, and etc.
Hiring of professional coaches is prohibited.
Cat calling (violent screaming) is not allowed.
Use of fire, pyrotechnics, dangerous stunts (i.e. lifting), foul language and homosexual gestures are strictly
prohibited. Your presentation must be wholesome and, as much as possible, in line with the theme. Follow dress
code. Violation of any of the rules will mean automatic disqualification.
For the BANDS: band members should tune their instruments before the program.
ELIMINATIONS (August 09, 2011 @ Fr. Martinez Sports Center): Contestants must prepare a presentation that is
within 2-3 minutes. Bands must play one song only, and have at most 5 minutes to play on stage. Each judge will
deduct one point for each minute lacking from or exceeding the required time duration.
FINALS (August 11, 2011 @ Fr. Martinez Sports Center): ALL finalists (bands included) are given 3-5 minutes on
stage. Bands may choose to play one song, a mash-up, or a medley of songs. Each judge will deduct one point for
each minute lacking from or exceeding the required time duration.
There will be 9 contenders competing in the finals.

General Contest Rules
-Songs may be from the Videoke song list or from a CD brought by the
contestant.
-Songs stored in other media devices such as MP3 player or Ipod will not be accepted.
-The order of performance will be done by random drawing.
-Contestants may sing the same song from the daily auditions to the monthly finals.
-A new song must be performed on the Grand Finals, submitted to the contest head at least a week before the
Grand Finals.
-Approval of the Grand Finals song is on first submit-first reserve basis.
-Songs containing vulgar or explicit sex lyrics will not be allowed.
-Contestants who, during their performance, use vulgar lyrics or perform in an obscene manner will be disqualified
from competition
