SikaCoat® Plus
MULTIPURPOSE HIGH FLEXIBLE ACRYLIC BASED, ALKALI RESISTANT LIQUID APPLIED MEMBRANE

PRODUCT One component multipurpose high flexible acrylic based, alkali resistant
liquid applied membrane. It can be applied on exposed roof areas, parapet

SURFACE PREPARATION
Surface must be clean, sound and properly cured. Remove all loose
materials mechanically, preferably with a wire brush. Iron and steel
surfaces should be free of rust.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS APPLICATION


For Wall (Without Membrane):
1. For porous substrate, apply first coat diluted with 10% water as
primer layer. Allow enough drying time (>3 hours).

2. Apply SikaCoat® Plus in two coats (0.3 kg/m /coat), by brush or
roller.
For Roof (With Membrane):

1. Apply a first coat (0.8 - 1 kg/m ) of SikaCoat® Plus by brush or roller
(diluted with 10% water if needed).
2. Embed the SikaCoat® Plus membrane into the second coat while it is
still wet. Ensure that the membrane is thoroughly embedded and
smooth out all air pockets and creases. Overlaps of adjacent
membrane must be a minimum of 50 mm.

3. Immediately apply a second coat (0.8 - 1 kg/m ) of SikaCoat® Plus
while the first coat is still wet, to fully saturate the membrane from
both sides.

4. When touch-dry, apply a final top coat (~0.4 kg/m ) to complete the
application. Protect from rain until dry.

CLEANING Remove uncured surface SikaCoat® Plus with water. Cured material can
only be removed mechanically.
LIMITATION Ambient and surface temperatures must be below 35˚C during application.
Do not attempt application if rain is imminent.
Avoid any ponding water on top of SikaCoat® Plus.
Minimum slope for Roof application (with membrane) should be 3%.
Allow minimum one week curing time for cementitious substrates before
apply SikaCoat® Plus.

tests. Actual measured data may vary due to circumstances beyond our
control.
