Plotter Settings.

The Reydisp program can output to the plotter at the

following baud rates:
300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, or 9600.
Set your plotter to the desired baud rate. Then using
the CONFIG program, put the same information in
Reydisp’s configuration file.
(See Configuration Instructions.)

Reydisp sends 8 data bits and no parity bit.

Plotter Error Indication Light.

During computer to plotter testing, the plotter error
light may be lit. If a good connection is made
between the computer and the plotter, the error light
will be turned off.
If the error light is lit once the plot has begun, then a
transmission error has occurred.

( Refer to your plotter manual for further details.)

APPENDIX H: INFORMATION
ABOUT COMMUNICATIONS SIGNALS

The waveform menu (F3 from the main menu of

Reydisp, described on page 9 of this manual)
now has an extra item “F4 VF Communications
Signals” when they are available.

The waveforms will not be available under the

following conditions:-

1. A saved set of data which does not contain

the VF data has be re-loaded.

2. An error occurred when loading the VF data

from the relay, however the signals data was
loaded correctly.

On the VF communications screen the signals

Tx and Rx are shown. The Cursor values
displayed to the left and right of the graph are
the Envelope values calculated over a period of
2 samples with the cursor on the second sample.

The timings shown at the cursors on the VF

screen do not correspond with the timings on the
Line Signals/Status Information screens due to
the faster sample rate of the VF data, therefore
the VF samples cover a smaller time window.
The line currents and status signals cover a time
period of approx. 1 second, whereas the VF
signals only cover a period of approx. 300 ms.
Therefore time measurements between the VF
windows and other windows are not
comparable. However the 0.0ms points on each
window do correspond. Because of this cursor
movement and expansion are independent on the
VF screens. Figure H1 illustrates the difference
in time between the data.

The amount of Pre-Trigger on the VF signals is

fixed, the Pre-Trigger of the Line Signals Data
is set by the operator.

The VF Communications data is saved with the

original data when saving manually or through
monitor.

If it exists the VF data is re-loaded when the

user loads data.
