I. Company Mission Statement

1. Profile

Established in 1999 and located in the fourth zone of the industrial city
of Jeddah, the Saudi Electrical Transformers Factory grew from a modest home
appliances auto-transformers manufacturer to a regional leader of dry-type
transformers in all their shapes and applications.

Today the factory extends over more then 7000 square meters, uses the
latest automated machinery and employs more then 50 technicians and
engineers providing our customers with the latest in dry-type transformation
technology and the utmost in quality and reliability with our flagship SETF
Warranty – 3 Years Warranty

4.1 Auto-Transformers

Built in single-phase and three-phase configuration, these auto-transformers are

constituted of a single winding. The manufactured power range from 100 VA
to 8 MVA in special configuration, while the voltage range includes anything
from 1 up to 1000 Volts.

4.2 Control Transformers

Built in single-phase or three-phase configuration, these transformers are made

out of two separate windings, with reinforced isolation to suit all your sensitive
applications. The manufactured powers vary from 10 up to 100,000 VA. The
voltage range includes the standard voltages (such as 12, 24, 48 Volts …) as
well as any other voltage range customized to the customer request.

4.3 Power Transformers (Low Voltage)

Built in single-phase or three-phase configuration, these transformers are made

out of two separate windings with special thermal insulation to withstand very
sever operating effects. Power transformers are manufactured in powers
varying from 500 VA up to 3 MVA, and include all the standard low voltages
(from 110 up to 1000 Volts). Arrangements are customizable upon customer
request

4.4 Power Transformers (Medium Voltage)

Based on the latest technology in cast resin dry-type transformers, these

units are standard built in a three phase configuration with a power ranging
from 100 up to 5000 kVA. The maximum voltage level attained can be 24 kV
and a special treatment, casting and insulation of the active parts (both the HV
and LV coils) provide an excellent life expectancy and performance. Multiple
arrangements are available and can be customized upon customer request.

Our warranty is backed up by long years spent in researching the best

practices and testing our transformers to give you a flawless product that will

This can only be done by using the most advanced testing equipments
and laboratories in the world.

In this regards we are proud to introduce to our laboratories, certified

by the German lab manufacturer ELWE and Full High Voltage Laboratory
manufactured by Phenix Technologies, USA, and accredited by the Saudi
Arabian Standards Organization – SASO as an independent testing lab.

ZES Zimmer Lab View – LMG 350

This a modern, complete power station especially designed to test three-phase

transformers of all kinds and specifications. This station can measure everything
from the simple voltage signal, going through the active and reactive power
absorbed y the transformer, down to the more complex electromagnetic
quantities.

A very high sampling rate allows the measurement of loads operating in the
DC field, up to 400 kHz with utmost reliability and efficiency. The exceptional
bandwidth of 1 MHz offered by this device offers the possibility to carry out
measurements extending above the 400 kHz range. This given characteristic of
the LMG 350 allows us to create a frequency map of each transformer
whenever necessary.

Embedded functions to this power station allow to directly acquire around

1500 different quantities. This range can be extended through programming to
measure and deduct a further 250 variable extending the measurement range
to almost all the known electrical engineering quantities.

This station can be interfaced with any PC Station and/or plotter thanks to its
RS 242 extension port and its parallel ports.

Last but not least, an extra feature to this power station allows us to carry out
measurement in the transient state, the steady state, and the harmonic state
enabling us to examine the transformers in all their possible operational stages.

This power station, with all its extensions is designed to test transformers up to
3 MVA.

ZES Zimmer Lab View – LMG 95

This power station is the same in functionality as the previous one, but it is
exclusively designed to test single-phase transformers.

This power station is also interfacable with a PC workstation and/pr a plotter

Fluke Clamp Meter – 321

A digital clamp meter with current and voltage measuring capabilities.

This instrument is a 600 V CAT III instrument, with a capacity of measuring up

to 400.0 amps.

Variable Three-Phase Power Supply

A 0 to 600 Volts variable auto-transformer with a power rating up to 500

kVA, used to carry out various loading simulations on medium and big power
transformers.

PD-System Partial Discharge Monitoring Devices

A partial discharge monitoring system with an integrated high voltage meter

(up to 200 kV).

Due to its excellent band-width filters and common-mode rejection filters, this
device can be used to monitor and conduct non-destructive insulation strength
testing.

This station sensitivity is such that it can measure electrical activity down to
0.01 pC, due to the multiple filters and integrated function. This station can
also be used as a spectrum analyzer.

It is provided with an RS 242 serial port for communication with a plotter or a

PC workstation whichever is needed. It can record and display all the
commonly known electrical field and insulation parameters with a very high
reliability.

TTS -55 Transformers Test System designed for testing Single Phase and Three
Phase- Pad or Pole Mounted Distribution Transformers up to 5000 KVA and
including 33KV class, with maximum impedance 7%. This System is designed

edition.

Aside our quality award wining management system we are the first
transformer manufacturer in the Gulf to be certified for its conformance with
the IEC, Saudi and Gulf Standards, as we proudly bear the SASO Quality Mark
on all our products.

transformers to have a transformer tested and passed by the CESI Labs in Italy.
