    Design of Top Dome

    Thickness of top dome Slab t = 150mm

    Live load on Dome = 1.5KN/m2

    Self weight of dome = (0.15*25) = 3.75KN/m2

    Live Load =1.5KN/m2

    Finishes =0.1KN/m2

    Total, w =5.35KN/m2

    The RCC Box Section has been analysed considering a LL Surcharge
    equivalent to 1.2m height of earth fill.

    Required Ast = M/ (σst X J X dprov)
    = 30X10^6 / (200x0.913x220)

    Maximum Bending Moment M=41 KN-m from Stadd.


    Required Effective Depth =√ M/Qxb.
    = √ 41 x10^6/ (0.827x1000).
    = 222mm.
    Provided d = 450-25-5 = 420 mm > dreq Hence Ok.
    Required Ast = M/ (σst X J X dprov).
    = 41 X10^6/ (200x.913x400).
    = 750 mm2
    Min Ast = .12/100x1000x250 = 300 mm2.
    Spacing of 16mm dia = 201x1000/750 = 350mm c/c
    Provided Spacing Y16@120 c/c
    Maximum Spacing 3d = 3x220 = 660 mm
    Hence side wall provided is 16@120 c/c and distribution 16@200 c/c

    Top slab

    Maximum Bending Moment M=32 KN-m from Stadd


    Required Effective Depth =√ M/Qxb
    = √ 30x10^6/ (0.827x1000)
    = 196mm
    Provided d = 250-25-5 = 220mm > dreq Hence Ok
    Required Ast = M/ (σst X J X dprov)
    = 32X10^6 / (200x0.913x220)
    = 800mm2
    Min Ast = .12/100x1000x250 = 300 mm2
    Spacing of 12mm dia = 113x1000/800 =140mm c/c
    Provided Spacing Y12@125 c/c
    Maximum Spacing 3d = 3x220 = 660 mm
    Hence top slab provided is 12@125 c/c and distribution 10@200 c/c

    Bottom slab

    The tank floor slab is circular and fixed at the periphery to the circular ring beam
