Affidavit of Probable Cause
ATTILLIO REED RENZETTI
Date of Birth: 11/18/1996
Arrestee
On 12/19/2018 17:00 the defendant was arrested for the offense(s) of:
I believe there is probable cause to charge the defendant with these charges because:
On 12/14/2018 the A/P was identified in the area of 4100 S Redwood Road. The A/P has active felony warrants
for his arrest and is a probation fugitive. It was decided to make contact with the vehicle due to the suspicious
activity. A marked patrol vehicle pulled up behind the car while it was at the car wash and I pulled up on the side
of the car wash building in my unmarked vehicle. myself and the other officers one who was in a full uniform
who was operating the marked patrol unit and myself and another officer who had our tactical police vest that
had police identifiers on them began to approach the vehicle. As he seen the patrol car get behind him he began
looking around and was making furtive movement and began to back the vehicle up. At this time myself and
another officer where in front of the vehicle and was pointing our firearms at the male driving who I identified as
Atillio telling him to "Stop Police". Attillio began to manipulate the vehicle and began driving right in the
direction of two officers. We both were able to get out of the way but contact was made on the side window by
the officer that was nearly struck and his firearm broke It was advised the vehicle had a front flat tire an was
fleeing heading southbound on redwood road. It was also advised he nearly struck two officers while trying to
get away.
Other officers engaged in a vehicle pursuit due to the aggravated assault on police officers. The vehicle ended
up crashing at 47 Seventy Settler's point apartments located at 4770 S 1565 W. The vehicle was confirmed
stolen and was recovered along with multiple paraphernalia items and multiple swords.
On 12/19/2018 through investigative techniques Atillio was located and arrested without incident and transport
to Salt Lake County Metro Jail without incident.
I declare under penalty of perjury and under the laws of the State of Utah that the foregoing is true and correct.
