PI 100 Syllabus
Objectives:
1. Appreciate the life of Dr. Jose P. Rizal from his birth to his martyrdom.
2. Understand the influence of Rizal’s life and works on the socio-political situation
of the Philippines during his time and the present-day.
3. Analytically comprehend Rizal’s valor and recognize the meaning of his thoughts.
4. Understand selected poem, essays and novels of Rizal and its impression on
socio-political situation during his time and the present-day.
5. To comply with the law, specifically RA 1425 or the Rizal Law
6. Derive inspiration and insight from Rizal’s experience as son, student, patriot,
propagandist, and martyr.
7. Absorb the spirit of heroism and love of country from Rizal’s life and works.
Course Requirements:
Rules of Order: (violation will mean being marked absent for the meeting and/or
other sanction/s as may be deemed fit by instructor).
