Authoritative Parenting

That 70's Show

Children rank low in happiness and self-regulation and more likely to have
problems with authority and perform poorly in school
There is no universally "best" style of parenting. And most parenting styles
blend as a mother and father exhibit different types of behaviors
Regina's mom acts as a friend rather than a parent
Authorative Example: Danny Tanner
Danny rationally punishes DJ, but in a loving caring manner
Which Parenting Styles are in Style?

 Children are expected to follow strict rules

 If asked to explain, "Because I said so"
 Failure to follow rules result in punishment

Permissive Parenting Example: Regina George's Mom
