The private security industry is regulated by the Ministry of Home
Affairs (Kementerian Dalam Negeri). As of 2018, all private security companies in Malaysia must have a minimum of 80% of their employees complete a Certified Security Guard Training Course [36] in order to receive approval to renew their Private Agency License.
