HOMEWORK
Once you have run the “property analysis” Go to the simulation Environment.
Creating a Sensitive Analysis
Click-on Vary to define your independent variable. For our example, it must be the drum
temperature. You can only choose an independent variable that you have previously
defined in your simulation. You can choose among a BLOCK-VAR (i.e., variables related
with the subrutine), a STREAM-VAR (i.e., variables related with the stream), MASS-
FLOW, MOLE-FLOW, MOLE-FRAC, MASS-FRAC (i.e., variables related for an specific
component in terms of flow or composition)
Creating a Sensitive Analysis
Once you have defined the INDEPENDENT VARIABLE in the VARY TAB, you can define
the DEPENDENT VARIABLE in the DEFINE TAB.
In our example, the DEPENDENT VARIABLE must be the composition of ethanol in the
vapor phase.
