The sophisticated quality control systems

followed during the entire in-house production
process including Heat Treatment assures
accuracy & longer life of our rolls. Each
production process is fully documented and
final quality acceptance tests are performed at
the end of each production process.

Before production, all roll set designed by us

undergo a simulation & finite element analysis
to achieve a meticulous final product. Roll
profiles are produced on high precision CNC
controlled work stations using latest Ceramic/
Diamond tipped tools.

Our competent team of designers helps to

perfect the roll set design & recommend the
ideal material of construction bearing in mind
the applications requirement.

We boast of an in-house metallurgical lab &

an ISO certified heat treatment unit having
atmosphere controlled furnaces with complete
automatic controls & process recording.

FORMATION OF STRIP
SLITTING CUTTERS,
SPACERS &
SEPARATOR DISCS
SLITTING CUTTERS are manufactured from tool
steel and special alloy steel according to the application
requirement. We have manufacturing facility to produce
sizes up to 600mm in diameter and slit up to 16mm thick
coils. We also manufacture precision cutting tools with the
thickness tolerance of 0.0015mm and flatness of .0025mm
depending on the OD and thickness. This is possible with
our precise Lapping Machines. Closer tolerances & special
surface finishes are also possible.

An in-house deep cryogenic treatment gives the knife a

finer microstructure which enhances life of the tool.

SPACERS are manufactured using through hardened

tool steel. Atlas offers light weight and also Ultra light
weight spacers which are nearly 65-70% lighter than
the conventional steel spacer. This makes the job of the
operator easier and causes less fatigue. To ease assembly
and removal of tools, we offer Split design. The spacers
can also be lapped to the highest level of precision.

Bonded stripper rings are made from alloy tool steel bonded
with oil and abrasion resistant material such as Nitrile
Rubber (Buna N) or Polyurethane. These are available in
various shore hardness and colors to match your specific
requirement.

SEPARATOR DISCS are custom made exactly to

user specifications. We offer single/double bevel angle
and various thickness. Available to a maximum hardness
of 58/60 Rockwell, steel separator discs are made from
the finest steel and guarantee a long-lasting, dependable
performance at competitive prices. These can also be
chrome plated to reduce friction between the plate face
and the slit edge.

ATLAS manufactures a variety of rolls for cross-section profiles in addition to regular

cylindrical, square and rectangular tubes. Each profile requires a carefully crafted
set of rolls. Designing of the rolls start with a flower pattern, this is a sequence of
profile cross-sections, one for each stand of rolls. The roll contours are then derived
from profile contours. We use the simulation process to validate the designed rolls &
optimize the forming process & material stresses in the final product.
ATLAS designs & manufactures entire range of forming rolls for the production of tubes with diameters ranging from 0.12” to
14” diameter. In addition to the traditional materials like D3/D2/H13, rolls can also be manufactured in special steel grades Some industries that frequently use our roll sets are Automotive, Construction, Fence
& tungsten carbide. Special steel grade rolls are offered where surface finish of parent material is of high quality. These rolls Panels, Office furniture, Marine Industry, Medical & White goods Industry.

ROLLS FOR SEAMLESS TUBE PRODUCTION
ATLAS manufactures all type of rolls used in the production of seamless tube
manufacturing like Pilger Rolls, Push Bench rolls, Detaching Rolls, Stretch
reducing & sizing rolls. For the synchronized sizing rolls in push bench plants, ROTARY CUT OFF / COC CUTTERS cut all
