Hello! My name is Lily Harding and I am excited to be working as a
student teacher in Mrs. Workheiser’s class this semester. I am originally from Tremont, IL, and currently a senior at Bradley University. I am pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, with ESL and Early Childhood Special Education endorsements.
Throughout the last three years, I have worked in preschool,
kindergarten, second, third, and fifth grade classrooms in a variety of schools and districts, and I am looking forward to now being a part of first grade at DGS. Over the next two months, I will gradually begin planning and leading more lessons and activities in your child’s class. This experience is a wonderful opportunity for me to practice in a real classroom setting before graduating this spring.
Additionally, as part of my student teaching experience, I will be
videotaping myself working with the students and submitting this footage as part of the application process for my teaching license. The attached permission slip explains the requirements in more detail. Feel free to contact me or Mrs. Workheiser with any questions. Please fill out the permission slip and return it to school with your child by February 8.
I am so excited to be working with your child this semester. I have already
enjoyed getting to know each and every one of them!
