The fact that whether a hobby is interesting or not depends on each person’s view. For
example, some people may think that playing the guitar alone in a room is somewhat
autistic because with them, a more sociable activity like hanging out or playing team
sports is better. However, enjoying yourself with a guitar is an absorbing hobby.

So, you may think that this kind of hobby belongs to introverts. That’s not always true. I
myself am quite sociable and extroverted, but I still like playing the musical instrument
alone from time to time. Another misunderstanding is that only people with artistic
talent can learn to play music, but that’s not correct. I think that everyone can learn and
play at a basic level. Whether you can go further to reach a professional level or not is a
horse of a different color.

Like other skills, playing the guitar requires some fundamental knowledge which you can
get by attending a basic course. After that, what you need to is to practice as much as
possible. The more you practice, the more fluent you become at it. You can learn from
the internet as well. The most important thing is that do never quit halfway!

I think that playing the guitar is fascinating because of three reasons. First, you can relax
and enjoy yourself in music, which is a good way to heal your soul too. Second, you can
accompany your friends and relatives singing in some occasions and that would be fun.
Finally, quite weirdly, it’s a way to train your brain and memory as you have to bear in
mind the whole sheet of notes if you want to perform a complete song.
