Roles and Views (1)

Roles and views are defined via ABAP User Management Web AS
6.40
Roles in SAP CCM 1.0: Multiple User Roles per User
Content manager (/CCM/CATALOG_MANAGER): The content manager role
(and therefore also the corresponding homepage)* contains the following
services:
All approval authorizations are removed, with the result that the approval
options are automatically hidden on the UI
New supplier catalog
New publishable catalog
Importing catalogs
Registering suppliers
View logs that result from own activities such as mapping, importing, and
publishing
Logs resulting from mapping (unmapped objects) are integrated into the CDC,
the import and publishing logs are a separate service in the role

© SAP AG 2004

The manager and approver roles are constructed in a way that allows dual control of activities:
CAT AUTH home allows for: Editing catalogs, mapping, publishing from a single point of entry

Roles and Views (2)

Content approver (/CCM/CATALOG_APPROVER): The content approver can

only view the catalog and approve items:
Approval or refusal of items that are to be included in the catalog. The catalog
design center is used for this purpose.
Only approval authorizations are available to the content approver. As a
result only approval is visible on the UI of the CDC.
Viewing logs that result from the automatic use of approval rules
This function is also integrated in the CDC – it is not a separate service.
Catalog Search (/CCM/CATALOG_MANAGER):
Read access to the Catalog
Not particularly relevant to SRM Server i.e. when EBP is in scope
Relevant for stand-alone mode
