Guidelines for uploading Subject Matter on E-shaala

Unit Plan: The unit plan is designed to provide detailed information for learning the
content. The content as prescribed in the curriculum is structured as below.
You are required mention or fill up the details on E-shaala for the following
points as per the OBE Guidelines:
 Introduction
 Learning Objective
 Learning Outcome

The unit plan should comprise of Syllabus entry and Unit Details as per the
allocated hours duration by GGSIPU to the respective unit.

All the units need to include Course Outcomes, Knowledge Levels in mapping
with Performance Indicator. (The interface for the same is under Designing
and will be available soon.)

Lecture Notes:  Quality Lecture notes with rich and updated content should be prepared
and uploaded in the form of PPTs converted into PDFs on portal as per the
hours mentioned in the Syllabus prescribed by GGSIPU.
 Maximum content of the lecture notes should be taken from the reference
books prescribed by the University in the syllabus for the subject.
 Handwritten Lectures Notes one per Lecture hour may be prepared. (if
required)
 Thorough preparation of a lecture will increase your confidence, improve
your delivery style, and enhance the effectiveness of your presentation.
Keep your focus on the following while preparing PPTs.
 All the slides should have RDIAS logo, date, name of the subject and slide
number.
 Size of the Text on all the slides should be proper and uniform. The same
holds true for the font size.
 The content on the slide should be optimum i.e. the slide should not
appear to be overcrowded. The background of the slide should be subtle
and fine.
 The content on the slides must strictly adhere to the topic and should be as
relevant and updated as possible.
 Craft an introductory slide for each topic containing the definition and
name of the proposer of the topic. This would set a clear and engaging
agenda for the students.
 Create an outline of your main points, examples, or demonstration.
 Create effective visuals, analogies, demonstrations, and examples to
reinforce the main points.
 Share your lecture outline with students.
 Emphasize your objectives and key points in the beginning, as you get to
them and as a summary at the end.
 Engage Your Audience via Integrate visuals, multimedia, discussion,
active learning strategies, small-group techniques, and peer instruction.
 Mention as many updated examples to the topic as possible.
 Activities like role play; quiz etc. shall also be documented on the PPTs.
Online Test:  You need to upload two online Tests per subject during the semester. Test-
1 shall be attempted by the students after completion 50% of syllabus
respective Subject (that is under Unit-2) and Test-2 shall be attempted by
the students at the End of the semester (that is under Unit-4).
 Each test will consist of 60 MCQ’s based on the Syllabus prescribed by
GGSIPU.
 All the questions should be mentioned with the respective Course
Outcomes, Performance indicator & Knowledge Levels as per OBE
Guidelines.

Subjective  You are required to prepare 15 Subjective questions from each unit in
Questions context of referring Last 5 Years question papers of GGSIPU of our
respective subject.
 However, in case of numerical driven subjects/ practical subjects, you are
required to prepare 15 numerical/ practical problems from each unit.
Question papers of last 5 years must be referred in this case also.

Assignments  Assignments should be included in all the units with minimum 2


questions. Assignments should be Prepared which is Practical based so
that Students will learn the fundamentals of statistics and analytics
approaches in defining and understanding large data in the business world.
Also the questions in the assignments should be mentioned with the
specific Course Outcomes, Performance indicator & Knowledge Levels.

Case studies  You are required to prepare 5 Case Studies for each subject.
 Case studies could be included in the corresponding Units.
 A case study may only be relevant for four or five years before being
revised.
 Kindly refer case studies of ICMR & Ivey Publishing, thecasecentre.org &
Harvard cases (if suitable). In addition to that, some little known, yet
effective cases should also be incorporated.

Video Links  You are required to upload video links of all lecture notes.
 All the video links need not to be from YouTube, some other sources
could also be considered such as NPTEL.

Miscellaneous  You are required to upload minimum 2 Extra reading materials per unit of
each subject.
 Extra reading material could also be research papers, articles from
newspapers, anecdotes etc.

Books  While preparing lesson plan highlight chapters from standard books or
suggested readings which is prescribed in the syllabus of GGSIPU, so that
students start referring these books rather than studying only through
PPTs.
