    NOYNOY AQUINO
    1. Why is this individual a great leader?
    According to Richard Heydarian, the late president Benigno Aquino showcase
    effective leadership and enigmatic charisma. The Philippines is one of the
    developing countries in the world and is hardly in the top world economies.
    Noynoy Aquino managed to rank among the world’s most influential leaders in
    the 2013 Time 100.
    He takes the fight for the Filipinos personal. A reporter in Rappler said that
    Noynoy Aquino remembers what his father said before he died. "Filipinos are
    worth fighting for." He made sure to make his decisions right and what he thinks
    is the best for the people. One of the famous topics that were talked about
    during his Presidency is the West Philippine Sea and the Exclusive Economic
    Zone, He said that dealing with China was his toughest challenge.
    2. How is his/her political belief linked to Philippine politics?
    His political belief for always fighting for his right is linked to the Philippine politics
    because as you go back, it all started with his parents, Cory Aquino and Ninoy
    Aquino. His mother said that the Filipinos are worth living for and she also took
    part in the revolution during the year of Marcos and is being taught until today.

    GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO


    1. Why is this individual a great leader?
    Her nine years of Presidency has helped our country’s economy. Gloria
    Macapagal Arroyo instituted a lot of policies and contributed to our economic
    stability averaging at around 4.5 percent annually according to Daily Tribune. During
    Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s term, she also established a blueprint named the Capital
    Market Development Plan. There, it is stated that the financial securities are traded, such
    as bonds which did help in raising funds for long-term investments.
    2. How is his/her political belief linked to Philippine politics?
    Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is the daughter of the late President Diosdado Macapagal. She is
    recognized as leader that shows strong desire when it comes to uniting the Filipino citizens and
    leading them by example. Since she believed that the Filipinos should unite, it is stated by
    Steven Rood of The Asia Foundation that Gloria Macapagal Arroyo switched the “all out war”
    policy to “all out peace” which made progress between the government and the Moro Islamic
    Liberation Front.

    RODRIGO DUTERTE
    1. Why is this individual a great leader?
    During the elections, Rodrigo Duterte sparked hope for the Filipinos because of his
    strong will to seek for change. However, the people now have different response
    towards him because of what is happening lately. There are a list of things to hate but
    we cannot deny the fact that he did made changes in this country. In his presidency,
    he improved the hotlines by centralizing it (911 and 8888) which is easier because it is
    well known. He also prioritized the issue of drug operations which billions worth were
    seized.
