3rd Day of Triduum for Institute Day

In the Name of the Father…

Angelus 1

___________________: I. Introduction:
The Lord has fashioned Mo. Mazzarello into the woman that she wanted her to be. He
has graciously blessed her with inner qualities that attract young girls to follow her
examples.

As we gather and honor today in our prayer our dear Mo. Mazzarello and also Bl.
Augustus Czartoryski whose feast we celebrate today, let us invoke their intercessions
that in our life, love, joy and service for God and neighbors may consume our hearts
so that we may follow the path they have prepared for us.

II. Symbolic Offering:

____________________: With hearts united in love, we lift up our praise and thanksgiving
to the Lord as we present to Him these symbols.

____________________: We bring to you Lord these PORTRAIT OF MO. MAZZARELLO,

may we draw from the wellspring of their great charity thus, imitate their great love
for God and others.

____________________: We bring to you Lord this BOOK which contains the letters of Mo.
Mazzarello, that guided by her words and examples, it may continue to inspire us to
live good Christian lives

___________________: We bring to you Lord these PLANTS AND CANDLES, symbols of

ourselves uniquely different from one another, yet one in joyful thanksgiving for the
gift of each one.

III. Song: Christ has no body but yours

IV. Gospel Reading:

____________________: The saints are our models of Christian life.
This is especially true of Mary, because of the exceptional place she occupies in the
history of our salvation.
Mary proclaims a song of thanksgiving - not as an isolated person - but as the
daughter of her people! With her people, Mary sings the greatness of God.

__________________: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St. Luke

Mary said:
" My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoiced in God my Saviour,
for he has looked with favour
on the lowliness of his servant.
Surely, form now on
all generations will call me blessed;
for the Mighty One
has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
His mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm;
he has scattered the proud
in the thoughts of their hearts.
He has brought down the powerful from their thrones,
and lifted up the lowly;
he has filled the hungry with good things,
and sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
in remembrance of his mercy,
according to the promise he made to our ancestors,
to Abraham and to his descendants forever."
And Mary remained with her about three months
and then returned to her home

V. Words of Mo. Mazzarello

__________________________: Let us spend this intimate encounter with Mo. Mazzarello

as we reminisce the words she addressed to us. Let us feel her presence and imagine
the words being directed to us.
__________________________:

 Let us do good while there is still time. Life passes quickly and at the hour of
death we will be pleased with the mortifications, self-denial and the efforts
made to overcome our self-love. Do not be discouraged if you see yourself so
full of defects. We have to do our best and be aware that if we fought against
with good will, it will help us attain eternal life with God in heaven. (brief pause
for reflection )
- I will always be your most affectionate mother,
St. Mary Mazzarello

VI. Closing Prayer : We are grateful for calling us into this Salesian family, for the
gift of the Salesian charism that help us become the kind of person you want us to be-
walking in the footsteps of Mother Mazzarello. Let us pray together…
