1st Flowers (no flowers in autumn)

Aranged in umbels (umbrella flowers)

Actinomorphic – radial simetry

2nd Fruits/Seeds

Schizocarp – can break in ½

3rd Leaves

Highly compound – pinnate, bipinnate (some are simple)

Have sheaths (some don’t)

Leaves and stems have oils/raisin, strongly aromatic

E.g. fennel, carrots, cummin, coriander, aniseed, dill, parsley, cellery, angelica (medicinally)

Angelica Dhaurica – Bai Zhi

Angelica Sinensis – Dong Gui
