I. COURSE OBJECTIVE
At the end of the course, the students should be able to develop the students’ communicative
competence through the understanding of British-American Literature, including Philippine Literature and other
text types for a deeper appreciation of their culture and those of other countries; increase their understanding of
how Anglo- American literature serves as a means of enhancing the self by using strategies in summarizing,
assessing, and processing information in texts listened to and viewed; word derivation and formation strategies;
distinctions between and among informative, journalistic, and literary writing; and appropriate and creative use of
word order, punctuation marks, and interjections; develop the students’ understanding of how Anglo- American
literature serves as a means of valuing other people through using various types of print media and linear/
nonlinear texts; strategies in processing information connections in listening and viewing materials;
communicative styles; and adverbs and conditionals in narration and argumentation.

V. GRADING SYSTEM
At the end of the course, students should be able to understand Philippine literature and other text types
for a deeper appreciation of Philippine culture ; appreciate pre -colonial Philippine literature as a means of
connecting to the past; compered texts using appropriate reading styles; develop conversational skills using
appropriate context-dependent expressions ;produce the English sounds correctly ,using the prosodic features of
speech effectively in various situations; and observe correct subject -verb agreement.

V. GRADING SYSTEM
Sa dulo ng kursong ito, ang mga mag-aaral ay matutunan mabigyang-linaw kung bakit mahalagang pag-
aralan ang Asya sa pananaw mismo ng mg Asyano; Matutukoy sa yunit ang mga likas na yaman ng Asya.
Mapagtatanto na mahalagang malaman ang kahalagahan ng mga likas na yaman ng Asya bilang kaagapay sa pag-
unlad ng mga bansang Asyano; Makikilala sa yunit ang ibat ibang mamamayan ng Asya; Mauunawaan ang
kahalagahan ng mga yamang tao na siyang lumilinang sa mga kalikasang taglay ng isang bansa na tuwirang
makapghahatid ng pag-unlaad nito; Malalaman dito ang kanilang mga wika, panirahan, at ilan sa mga hamon na
kanilang kinahaharap sa kasalukuyang panahon; Pahalagahan ang ambag ng bawat Asyano bilang yaman ng mga

V. GRADING SYSTEM
At the end of this course, the learners should be able to utilize techniques and concepts from
experts in the field to help develop their oral communication skills that need to express their ideas in the
21st century and better participate in the real world.
The book includes speech samples from different cultures and groups, as well as creative and
innovative activities to create a holistic, inclusive, and engaging learning experience. Along with general
guidelines and principles for oral communications, students learn the detailed components of relevant
skills.

origin and development of state, its external relationships and internal organization and its activities;
