Child Labour Is A Human Rights Violation

Child labour is a violation of human rights that takes away children's freedom and opportunities for education. It is commonly practiced in developing countries due to factors like poverty, lack of access to schooling, and large family sizes. Child labour exposes children to physical and psychological dangers from working with heavy machinery or in unsafe conditions without proper training or protection. It prevents children from reaching their full potential and perpetuates the cycle of poverty between generations. Governments should implement and enforce laws against child labour while also working to provide education, healthcare, food and shelter to vulnerable children.

CHILD LABOUR IS A HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION

Child labor is simply causing danger in child life as they are forcibly not allowed the children’s

to educated. Child labor can also be considered crime as the children are assigned to the

companies and are forced to work with heavy machines without any kind of the training which

can cause them injuries and generally it is mostly hidden from the society. Children below the

age of 18 or less are not mature enough to work anywhere. Moreover, in developing countries

girls are forced for not to go school at very less age as their parents consider it is waste of

money for children’s sending to school. During that time many parents send their children to

work and earn money so that they can help in financially to their family. Child labor is mainly

practicing in industries, farming, restaurant and in construction work as well. Also, the children

are uneducated here and this leads less judgement power between the wrong and correct

path for them.

Child labour is simply taking away the freedom of childhood from the kids by their parents and

relatives. It is mainly practice in developing countries due to factors like poverty and lack of

education. Child labour is the ultimate loss of the country’s development because through

such practice the children can not upgrade his or her talent as it will remain a hidden talent as

a waste of that kid. Another main reason of child labour is increase in number of kids in the

family and therefore the parents send the children to earn money at very small age to help

their family in financial condition. Furthermore, it effects the children’s mental growth as they

are bound in the limited space and their attitude towards life weakens and creates negativity

in their mind.

The foremost consideration following the practice of child labour is that it affects the

educational opportunities of child. Either due to poverty issues or social background of the

kids get involved in labour practice which makes them stay away from schoolings. The lack of

opportunity restricts them from making better lifestyle and fulfilling their basic needs. Their

shoulders become more responsible at a very young age and they get busy in working hard
for their family earnings. Early working is often associated with early marriage practices and

premature parents probably come into existence. Eventually, at a very young age they form

an idea of complete family, which may have chances of more disease prevalence and poor

living conditions. Special considerations can usually help in child labour eradication and give

them appropriate educational opportunities. In addition to this, most of the countries have

banned child labour practice and must take special steps for children welfare.

In current era, the age of getting into adult age is getting delayed. The child labour practices

could potentially have alternate effects. They lead to earlier mature mindset in the individuals

involved as child labours. The practice of child labour creates potential predisposition to some

chronic diseases as many the child labours work in factories that produces pollutants and

harmful chemical wastes. Further, the working environment also the affects the psychology of

the children and they get stressed in many ways. In underdeveloped and developing countries,

one can easily notice children working at food stalls, restaurants and roadside shops, often

involved in cleaning utensils, sweeping and cleaning. Additionally, they may suffer from some

sort of physical abuse and mentally depressed by some unworthy individuals and some strict

owners who do not care about such employees.

In some developed countries due to increase of workload in the child they face problems like

stress, injuries and further which is the ultimately cause is mental and physical health in very

small age. They are assigned with continues repeated work and high weight lifting in the

industries which leads to injuries at times. These practices are mainly done in domestic areas

due lack of education and understanding. Furthermore, this is the indirect harm for the

children’s by not going to school. (Sturrock & Hodes, 2016)

Moreover, in rural population the uneducated people mainly assigned their children to work in

the farms at very low wages or family farming and fishing, but the main reason behind this is

poverty and very limited access of education. They can not afford them to educated.

Furthermore, the children’s in the farm work with sharp tools like rollers, small knifes through

which they harm themselves other than this the usage of pesticides is done by the farmers to
kill the insects this should to kept away from children as well. There is always a risk of

snakebite or injury cause by any other animal for the children working in farming. Moreover,

some parents force their kids to climb the huge trees to collect bees from the honey, pick up

the fruits like mango, apple and for this there is always a risk of fall for the children from the

ladder and trees.

In some developing countries there is common practice of child labour like working at

goldsmith shop with small metals and utensils. In fact, there are burn cases in west Bengal

as well as in Bihar where child working in the silversmith leads to different scars which are

not even get treated properly. Also, doctors and nurses of the government hospital do not

give proper attention to such cases when administrated in the health department. This led to

illness and worst condition of the child due to burn and scratches that occur in the goldsmith

field. (News & News, 2019).

In addition to this, near the traffic signal the kids are force to sale flowers on the road and also

other product like balloons, toys, newspaper, flag and therefore there is always a chance or

possibilities of that kid to meet an accident which can further result into fractures or any

severe injury which could not get treated on time. Furthermore, this situation would possibly

lead the life of the children at danger. However, through such type of work children can simply

loose life. There are many other illegal things done by child for greed of money such as selling

drugs and exchange black money which is consider as crime.

Furthermore, child labour is not always be done to those children who are born with the

financial condition but also to those children who are being kidnaped and are taken away to

completely different cities. Those youngsters treated the child badly simply to earn money and

to survive and this people mentally depressed to this child to work as a labour. Also, such act

causes decrease psychological state of the children by creating a negative impact towards

each and everything that happens to the child which simply changes their nature.
There are some underdeveloped countries especially people from poor region of this country

practice violence against the children due to factors like over family size, unemployment,

poverty and this causes children emotional, physical as well as mental harm. (Ali Hyder, 2019).

Furthermore, this child is assigned to factories to work on heavy machines which ultimately

leads body ache and child comes in depressed state. Also, to overcome such pressure

children’s gets habitual to smoking, drugs intake.

However, to reduce violence against child labour government should take certain steps like

provide meals and shelter to homeless children, laws must govern strictly against child labour

which would be beneficial to the children. Governments should also educate poor children’s

freely with transport facilities (Duggal, 2019).
