    Title : Tea Resource Information Processing System (TRIPS).


    Client : Madulisma Tea Estates, Sri Lanka.
    Environment : Java, Servlets, Struts, JSP, Java script JDBC, Oracle 9.0, Tomcat
    Role : Team Member in Coding and Development
    Duration : March 2009to Till Date

    Description : This Project was developed for an effective automation of our client
    Madulisma Tea Estates (Sri Lanka). This particular system consists of six modules viz.,
    Payroll, Manufacturing, Inventory, Services, Executive Information System, Finance.
    Provisions have been given for further Customization to suit the client’s needs.
    The Manufacturing Module is used to register all the Estate Level activities. The
    Estates are further divided into Divisions and Fields. All these details along with the Factory,
    Tea grades and Agents information are managed here in this module. The Leaf Plucking,
    Withering and Sales activities mini modules are also processed here and then various reports
    viz. Sales Analysis and Employee Activities for a particular Field/Division/Estate/Overall for
    particular month can be taken.

    Responsibilities:

     Involved in all the phases of SDLC including Requirements Collection, Design &
    Analysis of the Customer Specifications, Development and Customization of the
    Application.
     As a team member, was responsible for Analysis of the specifications provided by
    the clients.
     Design and develop Struts Action classes, Dyna Action Forms, DAO, Views
    using Struts custom tags.
     Involved in Configuring web.xml and struts-config.xml according to the struts
    framework
     Involved in writing the DAO to read /write data to the database.
     Used Eclipse as Java IDE tool for creating JSPs, Servlets and XML.
     Coding for Java Server Pages to create the GUI.

    Role : Team Member in Coding and Development
    Duration : June 2008 to Jan 2009

    Description : The main objective of this project is to provide a complete Web based
    Application that supports project management by storing information of a project from its
    inception to closure and also allows project monitoring. The project details stored are the
    team information, deliverables information and also the metrics information. Project
    Monitoring through the project plan and also sending of alerts and reminders for milestones is
    a key feature of this system.
    The Time Reporting System keeps track of the daily activities of all the employees. It helps
    the employees to schedule the deadlines. In case the deadlines are exceeded, then mail
    reminders are sent to the employees. It helps the management to keep track of the resource
    utilization, work allocation and fixing the responsibilities. It has several pages, which allow
    the users enter the data and view reports online.

     Coding for Java Server Pages to create the GUI.


     Coding for the handler classes using Servlets.
     Coding for the Database interaction using Handler classes
     Eclipse used as IDE tool for application development and debugging.
     Developed JSP pages, Servlets and deployed on Web logic server.
