    there we Filipinos are capable of a lot of things. And that through this capabilities, we can change the world/
    cause big impact to the functioning of the society
    Background of the text:
    “an alternate history of the world” is included in the Greatest Hits Anthology (collection of poems) from Flip
    reader: entitled The official guide to World Domination. This work is written by Jessica Zafra, a writer known
    for her witty writing style tackling through her works current events both Internationally and locally. Wherein
    the main ingredient of her works are cynicism (inclination to believe that people are motivated purely by self-
    interest; skepticism) and irony.
    Summary:
    “an alternate history of the world” by Jessica zafra is all about the History of the earth and how Filipinos
    participated in this interconnected world. Here the stand of the author is that Filipinos plays an important role in
    the world history, starting from the expedition of natives into the wide sea, to the migration of citizens into
    other countries to work, to share the cultures these people carry with themselves to the places they go. The text
    talks about how Filipino DH were the countries weapon to that would penetrate the global economy, the author
    revealed that DH plays an important role in the lives of people in the world, and how crucial this roles are in the
    society and the path to colonizing the earth.
