Try the hair base onto the head. The colors of the pieces may differ from the
6
colors stated in the pattern.

*Now work the locks:

Total amount of layers is four.

All locks will be counted as one round of the hair base.

*you will use two sts of Rnd 17 to make one lock. The 1st st is the one that we
chain 15 from. The 2nd st is the next st when we join the lock to the base.

1st layer (27 locks)

*9 locks (fringe): place a marker
Ch 15, work 13 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1 sl st into
the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and repeat for the remaining
locks)

*3 locks (ch 17, work 15 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1
sl st into the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and repeat for the
remaining locks)

*3 locks (ch 19, work 17 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1
sl st into the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and repeat for the
remaining locks)

*6 locks (ch 21, work 19 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1

sl st into the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and repeat for the
remaining locks)

*3 locks (ch 19, work 17 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1
sl st into the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and repeat for the
remaining locks)

*3 locks (ch 17, work 15 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1
sl st into the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and repeat for the
remaining locks)
Fasten off and weave in loose ends.

The 1st layer is finished. Total amount of the locks is 27.

8
2nd layer (27 locks)
Go back to Rnd 9 of the hair base. Start working the 2nd layer right above the
beginning of the 1st layer using the marker you have placed as guidance.

*11 locks
Join blue color yarn and ch 15, work 13 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back
along the chain, 1 sl st into the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and
repeat for the remaining locks)

*4 locks
ch 17, work 15 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1 sl st into
the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and repeat for the remaining
locks

*8 locks
ch 19, work 17 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1 sl st into
the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and repeat for the remaining
locks

*4 locks
ch 17, work 15 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1 sl st into
the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and repeat for the remaining
locks
Total amount of the locks is 27.

9
3rd layer (15 locks)
Go back to Rnd 5 of the hair base. Start working the 2nd layer right above the
beginning of the previous layer using the marker you have placed as guidance.
Total amount of the locks is 15 (all worked the same way).

Ch 14, work 12 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1 sl st into
the next st to join, insert the hook into the next st and repeat for the remaining
locks
You should end up with the hair as shown in the picture:

10
4th layer (8 locks)
(Ch 14, work 11 dc from the 3rd st from the hook back along the chain, 1 sl st) x 8
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

11
Form the hair.
Thread your needle with sewing thread and sew the hair base onto the head. *
If you want to do it fast and neat, first sew the hair base around Rnd 17 leaving
the locks unsewn. Then sew the locks onto the head one by one. See the pictures
to put the hair base onto the head correctly.

12
Sew the first layer. Then the 2nd and the 3rd. You don’t have to sew all locks. It
depends on you.
Sew the 4th layer onto the top of the head.

13
Dress
It consists of two layers. Start with a lower layer. Take green color yarn and join
it eight rounds up from the bottom (Rnd 42 of the head-body).
Rnd 1: 3 dc in one st to end (126 sts)
Rnds 2-9: 126 sc
Rnd 10: * bobble stitch (see picture and scheme) – chain 3 between each bobble
stitch

14
This is how the 1st round should look like:

15
Second layer (with pink color yarn):
Count 5 rounds up from the 1st layer (Rnd 36 of the head-body). Work the same
way you did for the 1st layer:
Rnd 1: 3 dc in one st to end [108 sts]
Rnds 2-7: 108 sc
Rnd 8: bobble stitch

16
Assemble the toy.
Attach arms using thread joints:

Finishing the face:

- sew the eyes onto the face
- embroider the nose
- needle sculpt the mouth
- tint the cheeks

17
Decorate the toy.
I used felt to make the bow. You can use buttons and ribbons if you like.
Embroider the shoe laces or decorate with a bow or button.

18
Make the underskirt using veil fabric.
Measure the lower layer of the skirt + 1 cm.
For example, the width of my skirt is 5.5 cm + 1 cm = 6.5 cm
So I cut 6.5 cm of veil fabric 30-40 cm wide.
Run a gathering thread and draw up to the sixe needed. Sew the underskirt onto
the toy.

Your doll is ready!
