Ness Nouns

Nouns are formed by adding "-ness" to adjectives. This suffix is added directly to adjectives ending in "-e", and for adjectives ending in consonant + "y" the "y" changes to "i" before adding "-ness". However, adjectives ending in a pronounced vowel + "y" simply have "-ness" added to retain the "y".
