ST550K
ST430K
ST650K

3 Methods

u Method 1 – Through OTA (manually)


1. Please connect the unit with internet (by LAN or wireless). Under Android
Home page, please select [All Apps].

2. Select [Settings]
3. Select [Backup/Update]

4. Select [System Update]


5. Select [Net Update]

6. If there are any updates, it will appear a message to inform you the version
and size. Please select [Yes] to proceed.
7. It will start to download the package and install it.
Please just wait and do not turn off the unit.
8. Please do not turn off the unit until the upgrade procedure is completed.
Select [OK] to complete.
u Method 2 – Through USB device (OTA file.zip) in OSD menu
1. Download the firmware file from eSupport (.zip file).
Rename the file to “update_signed.zip” and save it to the USB device.

2. Enter Android Home and select [All Apps]

3. Select [Settings]
4. Select [Backup/Update]

5. Select [System Update]


6. Select [Local Update]

7. Please just wait and do not turn off the unit.


8. Please do not turn off the unit until the upgrade procedure is completed.
Select [OK] to complete.
u Method 3-1 - Through USB device and keypad/power (.bin file)
1. Prepare USB flash disc with format FAT or FAT32.
2. Power ON display, and go into android home page.
3. Plug USB flash disc into media USB port.
4. Check if USB flash disc can be recognized.

5. Download the firmware from eSupport and unzip the file. Copy the .bin file and
rename to "MstarUpgrade.bin". Save the file to the root folder of USB flash disc.
6. Insert the USB device to USB 1 or USB 3.
7. Hold the 4th key (from top) and unplug & re-plug the power cord.

8. Keep holding the 4th key for 10 sec until you see the LED indicator is flashing in
blue.
9. After 5min-8min, the FW upgrade process will be completed. The LED indicator
will show blue (not flashing). Turn on the unit again and check the FW version.

u Method 3-2 - Through USB device and keypad/power (.bin file)


You can also find the software upgrade option under the OSD setting (not in the
Android).
You can also use this option to upgrade .bin file.
1. Follow 1~6 in Method 3-1
2. Go to any input (not Android)
3. Press “Menu” on the remote control
4. Press “Right” until to the setting menu
5. Select Software Update(USB) to proceed the upgrade process.
