I am Thavhana Thavhana, 18
years of age and currently
studying Accounting at the
University of Johannesburg,
but create pained art as a
hobby. I consider my art as,
Impressionism and abstract
art. My journey as an artist
started in July 2017 and was
inspired by my elder sister,
Nikki Thavhana; IG:
@sultana_anovora and
the_artists_voice; who is also
an artist.
I was asked if ever I had
considered selling my
work and I won’t lie, I
have considered selling
my art time and again but
then, I still feel a bit too
attached to it as it has
very sentimental value to
me. If you ask me how my
art affects society, my
answer will be that; I feel
my art affects society in
an impact driven way
which is in the sense that
I want it to reach and
teach people how to be
more expressive of their
feelings.

known as “Lauski”. I was
born two hundred and
twenty eight full moons ago,
where very drastic events
occurred. Not only drastic
events occurred, but good
ones as well, I feel as
though this now aids in
describing my personality- Pictures

What is content you ask?

Well!!!!!,
Let's move away from the
actual definitions of the
word "content". To me,
content is authenticity and
putting out work you believe
in. Most of my commentary
will be based on pictures
because that's what I do or
I'm know for.

Being the overthinker that I

am, I never want to just post
pictures. I send them out
anyways because I feel like I
did put in work and I did
deliver art.
However, most of
my posts or updates
don't necessarily
have a message, it's
usually just me
showing off my
beauty (laughs) or
features of mine I'm
most proud of,
which is mostly my
face.

When I post pictures, it's just a

way of saying "don't sleep on me"
without saying it. I never let them
forget because,let's be real here, I
don't need to be humble or
anything, but, I have taste and I'm
artistically equipped to give you
all the "mean mug" or "the face".

This is a concept that was brought to life by

Lukoto in order to research how well the
Venda culture or society would respond to
the idea of Coffee in its cold form. “We had
the Joburgers and Cape Townians in mind
when we brought the idea up and it was
weird how we were seating for lunch and as
we spoke, figured that we had the same
thing or idea in mind, so we decided to
make it come alive in order to see if our
minds actually could challenge us to make
this idea come alive or not.”

The pair says; “We are also proud to

announce that with the help of Wanga
Lephauphau, Thandiwe Maboyo, Mutondi
Tshikororo and Vhuthuhawe Nemavhola, this
idea has been brough to light and we’ll be
working together to showcase our work at
an upcoming event right here in
Thohoyandou, please come and support.”

was and they had this to say,
“SoulQuenching Bar is an innovative
coffee and confectionery house that
is not limited to regular hot coffee
but also different flavours and twists
of cold/frozen coffee. We will have
