Site Plan with Event Icons
Site Plan Bitmap. The InfoAlarm Command Center supports
a site plan monochrome bitmap image (size is 281 pixels wide
by 192 pixels high) that can also display icons indicating
activity and location. Shown to the right is a sample site plan
with icons shown in each building area. For this example, each
area is showing an “A” for an initiating device in alarm, a
“WF” for waterflow occurring, and an icon indicating
notification appliances in alarm. (Icons can be created for site
specific symbology, these are for example only.)
Site Plan Selection and Detail. If desired, the site plan can
be the primary display screen for system activity or can be for
reference, available by selecting the “Site” softkey. Depending
on the facility layout, the site plan can also be a convenient
location for common reference information such as primary
call phone numbers, street address, etc. to assist operators in
their assigned response.
System Normal Screen. The site plan (or another bitmap
image) can be displayed on the System Normal screen as a grey
image watermark behind the screen text. (Size and type are the
same as that for a site plan bitmap). This can be used to identify
the specific location of the 4100U or can display a site-specific
logo or other information. (A sample is shown on page 6.)
Customized Emphasis
The Main Menu screen illustration to the left
demonstrates how print/display statements appear for
status information or for prompting of user input. Other
examples of this format occur when setting time and date,
entering a password, or identification of a status change
such as point enabling or disabling. Use of this feature
allows the display to clearly focus the user on required
information or actions.
Information Review
The Trouble Log History screen shown to the right
identifies the ability to view multiple event entries with
minimal scrolling. For specific information access,
pressing “Next” or “Previous” on the keypad highlights
the selected next or previous item in the list as indicated
by the arrow and the bolded first line of Entry 6.

The IS28 intrinsically safe banshee sounder has been developed for use in hazardous areas.
Up to a maximum of four sounders may be used. Each IS28 banshee has an output of 94dBA at one
metre, this sound output will reduce to approximately 90dBA when four sounders are fitted to a circuit.
The CP840Ex Intrinsically Safe Weatherproof Break Glass Callpoint is designed to monitor and signal
the condition of the switch contact associated with the break glass.
The callpoint is designed to comply with EN 50 014 and EN 50 020 for intrinsically safe apparatus. It
is certified:
ATEX Code: Ex II 1 G
Cenelec Code: EEx ia IIC T5
The Intrinsically Safe IF800Ex Interface Module is designed to monitor fire contacts such as
extinguishing system controls, ventilation controls, fire door controls etc.
The IF800Ex is contained within a grey compression moulded glass filled polyester box with 3 x 20
mm cable gland holes. The electronic components are mounted on a double sided printed circuit
board built into a potted module formed from a plastic moulding. Connectivity is via two terminal
blocks fitted to the PCB.
The interface module is designed to comply with EN 50 014 and EN 50 020 for intrinsically safe
apparatus. It is certified:
ATEX Code: Ex II 1 G
Cenelec Code: EEx ia IIC T5
The EXI800 Interface Module, used with a galvanic isolator, provides a path for an MX Panel to
transparently communicate to slave devices (800Ex Detectors, IF800Ex Interface Module or
CP840Ex Addressable Break Glass Callpoint) connected to the Intrinsically Safe loop. The interface
reduces the standard MX loop supply voltage and signalling currents to levels that are acceptable for
hazardous areas.
The EXI800 can detect a short circuit on the left-loop, the right-loop, or the IS loop and will isolate the
offending loop connections from the other loop connections.
The IS loop output of the EXI800 interfaces with the Pepperl+Fuchs KFD0-CS-Ex1.54 Galvanic
Isolator, supplying loop voltage and signalling currents to the Intrinsically Safe loop.
A range of polycarbonate enclosures to suit the sounder driver, EXI800 and the Galvanic Isolator. The
enclosures provide see-through lids and can accommodate barriers in the safe area.
The enclosures are impact resistant, flame retardant and dustproof to IP65.

Polytron TX
ST-1524-2006
The Polytron TX is an economical, microprocessor-based gas detector for continuous
monitoring of toxic gases and oxygen in ambient air. Non-intrusive calibration and mainte-
nance is performed using a magnetic wand to access the software through the enclosure
window – no need to open the enclosure (and obtain special area permits) to perform
routine calibrations.

AutoLearn™ and Referencing
The VLS has both the AutoLearn™ and Referencing software functions
to ensure optimum operation in different environments and to eliminate the occurrence
of nuisance alarms.
AutoLearn monitors the ambient environment and sets the most appropriate alarm
thresholds (Alert, Action, Fire 1, Fire 2) during the commissioning process.
Referencing ensures external pollution to a protected environment does not interfere
with the true smoke level being detected.

Power Supplies
Features
• EN54-4 Compatible
• Available in three types: VLP 2A,
VLC 1.5A, Multiple 5A
• Temperature compensated charging to
maximise battery life
• Designed to blend in with VESDA
detectors
• Knockouts designed to line up with
VESDA units
• Multiple battery back up configurations
• LED indication on 2A and 5A units
• Relay outputs for connection to the
VESDA general-purpose input.
The three power supplies available to compliment the VESDA detection range is • 230 to 110 VAC field selectable option
provided primarily for the European and Middle East markets.
These units have been developed to enhance the appearance of a VESDA installation
by utilising custom designed enclosures allowing the unit to blend in with the
surrounding VESDA detectors.
Variations
2amp LaserPLUS/LaserSCANNER
This is the premier unit within the range. Designed with the same foot print, colour and
layout as the LaserPLUS and LaserSCANNER, the power supply will visually blend
with the detectors.
Internally is an EN54-4 compatible Power Supply, battery space is available for 7, 12
or 14 amp/hr battery back up dependant on the load and back up time required.
With regard to installation, cable entry knockouts all line up with the LaserPLUS and
LaserSCANNER enclosure allowing positioning of the power supply directly adjacent
to the detector.
The front cover supports 2 LED’s giving a quick visual indication of OK or fault
condition.
1.5amp LaserCOMPACT
This is the budget unit within the range. It is intended as a low cost unit to supply one
LaserCOMPACT detector. A simple but elegant construction and no LED’s on the lid
keep the cost of the unit to a minimum.
This unit is still engineered to compliment the product with cable entry knockouts lining
up with the knockouts in the LaserCOMPACT.
The internal charger is EN54-4 compatible and incorporates board mounted OK and
Fault LED’s. Space is available for 7 amp/hr battery back up.
